Luckily we dont get the wildfires, and this isn't dangerous per se, but down in Southern Florida we get this "Sahara Dust" that does the similar to the sky. Hazy, hard to see clear, allergies go nuts, air quality very poor. Only upside is that it depresses Tropical systems from it's origin in Africa, through the Atlantic and Gulf. Odd for us to not have rain in the summer for 5 straight days
