Really solid day yesterday and I'm targeting more on today's slate of games. A few matches of interest in both La Liga and England so here is what I am on:
ARSENAL FH (-160): I just cannot see Arsenal going behind in this game for as good as Ipswich are at home. The Gunners will certainly be rotating their lineup but their defense will remain stout and they have just too many weapons up front even with a rotated lineup. Cohesion could be the big issue and so for that reason I feel better taking them to win the half than to potentially find themselves in a tricky spot against an Ipswich team that plays very well at home.
MIDDLESBROUGH -1 (-165)...BIG PLAY!!!: I realize that I tend to stay away from big plays dropping this type of coin but I think there is close to no way that Middlesbrough doesn't win this game on home ground. Furthermore, they have done extremely well versus Millwall and I can easily see this game finishing up as a 2-0 or 3-1 type of final. I don't have a lot of confidence with Millwall scoring hence why I didn't opt for the BTTS option.
AJAX FH -1 (-160): Another spot where I just can NOT see Ajax not leading at the half. What took this off a big play other than just the price is the fact that Ajax haven't smashed Willem the way others have even though they own this matchup and tend to win at home. So I will pay a bit more to hammer out the FH versus playing the goal line in the FG.
REAL MADRID FH -1 (+105)...BIG PLAY!!!: Elche are a better team at home but not a very good team overall. They possess La Liga’s worst half-time record this term (HT: D1, L4) and Madrid have come out firing in the FH of all their games, irrespective if they have won all the HT encounters. But tonight poses a different opponent for Madrid and one that they not one have owned (Madrid haven’t lost to Elche since March 1978 W15, D4), but one they have won the FH against almost every time out. I don't see Real Madrid putting up an egg in the FH and unless they come out unfocused, I don't see Elche improving their miserable FH record.
That's all I have for today, still quite a bit for a Tuesday. I'll be back and forth checking, the Ajax games starts at 11am PST for anyone interested. As always, tail or fade, good luck to all....
