Took some time away as I really have always hated the first game back after the international break. For whatever reason top teams seem to falter and that would have happened again and cost me some money had I invested in plays over the weekend. Plus I was away with my lady for her bday so I was spending enough money to not hemorrhage more on games I'm not physically involved in. I did hit Real Madrid at the half and had to sweat that one out so that's perhaps the only saving grace.
Todays games present a bevy of sides that I will make a move on starting with one of the early games.
LENS TIE OR NO BET (-110): Lens have NOT been good this season but changes were made and they could be signaling to fans they are turning the corner. The same can't be said for Sporting as they have kicked off their season much better. Yet both squads have played quite well in the Champions League so far. Lens have made their home field a fortress losing only two of their last 29 home games in UEFA competition (W22, D5). With this being an early game I think they keep that record alive. Add to that Sporting boast a record of just one away win from their last nine attempts in continental football (D3, L5) so I dont' want to be short sighted and overlook them, but Lens at home should at worst end in a draw.
YES BTTS LENS/SPORTING CP (-225) + BAYERN MUNICH FH -1 (-165) + LEIPZIG (-185) = +253...BIG PLAY!!!: I LOVE this parlay. Munich was stifled in the FH this weekend and playing Viking I don't think they come out and take things for granted again. Leipzig is going to be a smashing play for me, they have changed coaches and since doing so, they have won 3 out of the 3 games they have played at home, beating teams by a combined score of 14-0!!! Not to mention PSV are awful on the road in this competition and they've won two of their last 11 matches in the UCL thanks mostly to a defense that gives up goals whomever they play (though not this past weekend it seems). As for the BTTS in LENS/SPORTING...Six of Lens’ last seven outings saw both teams score and Sporting have conceded at least twice in six of their last nine away matches in Europe so I like our chances. THIS IS A PARLAY.
LEIPZIG (-185)...BIG PLAY!!: More to come but they are not losing at home to PSV and I'm going to take a high line and double my risk because I am so convinced that a PSV without Ricardo Pepi is a PSV that wont' keep up with the goals Leipzig will score.
I have a bevy of other plays that I will add. Want to post and get this out and we can then revisit. Some of the lineups will factor into which plays. As always, tail or fade, good luck to all...
