TOURNAMENT: 135-105-10 (BIG PLAY: 47-33-8)
Was waiting to see full status on Saibari because I think it will affect the way the game is played, at least from the Moroccan perspective. He is out, so I will continue on with what I personally think will happen.
Great day last time out, but destitute for the few days prior, really hurt. Bounce backs are nice so long as they are sustained. I am hoping that even with my being a bit biased towards France the plays will be strong and cash for all of us.
France struggled a bit against Paraguay, but for me, that was to be expected. What I didnt' expect was the one single goal, and they had plenty of chances, even up through the end of the second half, to add a second. But alas, that was not to be and I took a small hit on that game.
Today things will be different, at least in my opinion. Morocco is another team I have backed all tournament but this showdown means one of the world's top teams will be going home. If the Argentina game and subsequent controversy is anything but water under the bridge, the French will surely march on. And, as I have stated previously, I didn't find the African teams particularly good, just super competitive. That changes here with Morocco but I think their opponents, France, are still on another level.
Both teams can score, and both teams can defend. But missing Saibari will put a lot of pressure on Morocco especially if the French get the first goal of the game. And both teams have been so/so when it comes to FH performance. I think this game starts with excitement and has it all throughout. One thing to note, three of France’s non-penalty shootout World Cup defeats this century have come against African opponents (3/6). Conversely, France have generally owned Morocco winning all prior six H2Hs (W4, D2) including last World Cup's semi-final, 2-0.
FRANCE TT OVER 1.5 (-131)...BIG PLAY!!!: I'm personally going to get deep into this one. I think the Paraguayan defense was stellar against France and last game was the only one this tournament that they have NOT scored 2 goals. I believe that changes here. A lot of people will expect a tight game but I think both these teams know each other, there are serious political and country ties between the two nations, and France have scored 2 or more goals in 4 out of the last 5 games they played vs. Morocco.
YES BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE (MOROCCO/FRANCE) -115...BIG PLAY!!!: I don't believe we will need the extra time here because I expect the French to hit the back of the net and even without Saibari, I think that Morocco gets on the scoresheet. If that doesn't happen, it will be 0-0 at the break and while that COULD happen, I don't think that will. But I will include the extra time as somewhat of insurance.
OVER 1 FH (MOROCCO/FRANCE) +110: If you read the spread, they are heavily juicing the OVER .5 in the FH but also heavily juicing the UNDER 1.5 in the FH. Based on what I've drafted, I expect at least one FH goal, even better if we can get two, but I'm not going to try and cash those tasty odds, I'll take a push if the single goal happens and not a total loss.
I will post this then be back later. Remember, I am far from perfect so do your own research as well. I love discussing these games and we have some hours still left to do so. As always, tail or fade, good luck to all...
