FRANCE vs. SPAIN (7/14)

Today is the French Independence Day, if you didn't know.  And today France will take the field in the semi-final of the World Cup against a team that has been their nemesis for the past couple of years.

We had a sublime day on Saturday so looking for a repeat effort today.  I know just how tough it is to beat a team, especially at this level of play, 3 times in a row and that's EXACTLY what Spain is trying to do with France.  But this is the 3rd straight World Cup semi-finals for a French team largely comprised of some of those same faces, so they are very experienced and tested. 

The past 3 games these two teams played had over 3 goals.  The oddsmakers are offering France at $+ to win in regulation but at -155 to win including extra time?  I think that means they are counting on extra time.  I'm not opposed to seeing it but I do not see how France do not prevail here and some of the plays will be reflective of extra time.

Both teams have had stellar defenses this tournament, but neither has had to defend against the attacking prowess of the other.  I do not think Charles De Ketaelare is quite the same as Mbappe or Dembele and he was able to get one into the goal.  So I think the French have a couple coming the way of the Spainiards.

Didier Deschamps will break the record for the most games managed after today's game.  I personally think that he gets one more after this.  Of note, over the last 5 H2H's played, Spain has not lost the FH.  That's the reason for the FH play as well as the fact that eleven of Frances 16 goals in this years tournament happened after half time.  Otherwise I've waited for this game and spot to unload on France.

FRANCE TO ADVANCE (-155)...BIG PLAY!!!  I could see Spain winning but on Bastille Day and with the French motivated, I don't think that's likely.

FRANCE TT OVER 1.5 (-115)...including extra time...BIG PLAY!!!:  France have scored 2 or more in 8 out of their past 10 games.  

YES BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE (-155)...in REGULATION....BIG PLAY!!!:  I do not see this as a 0-0 game going into extra time and so no reason to take the extra price on extra time b/c if they do go the added 30 minutes that would mean a tie, which means this got over the hump too.

SPAIN FH (0) +125:. Similar to the England/Norway game where this pushed and I liked England, Spain seems to always come out fired up against France and I do think they test them early.  

I know that's a lot of plays but clearly I have waited for this game.  I really really like Spain but just too many things pointing in the direction of the French making it to an unprecedented third finals in a row.  They are the best team in the tournament and I think they show why today.  As always, tail or fade, good luck to all...

First of all that’s not any reason why they will win but rather another point of motivation. There is no denying the latter. 

Also the comment, while i realize maybe not intentional,is a bit racist. I’m not sure any of those guys consider themselves Africans vs French. Otherwise they’d play for that country 

But yes I am backing that same group of athletes to take down Spain

Totally surprised and shocked you are not smashing these plays LA. 

Hopefully they got the revenge when lost 4-5 last year after Spain led 4-0. 
And go all the way to beat Argentina ???? in the Final rematch.

Better yet, start your own thread with your own plays and information.  Why come in here and try to take things off track?  First the guy can't read lines then he tries to clown my wagers....and again, he's never posted anything useful.  

Huh?  Do you read?  I said no more of the "smash plays" because they seem to go south when I term them that. You make your own call, no idea how you bet but as stated, manage your own bankroll.
