Great day last time out but truth be told, I was only clawing back a fortune I had personally lost on France. I felt that they played very flat and Mbappe wasn't as involved as he should have been. The Spanish are great at possession and without a proper French counterattack, the result evaded us. I still can't believe the tournament is culminating but at least there was a buffer between NBA and NFL.
Lucky for France they are playing a wounded England team that saw a harsh ending to their World Cup championship run. I think it will be a LOT harder for England to get the proper amount of motivation for this game, than for France, who will be seeing off Didier Deschamps in his last game as the winningest manager. I'm pretty sure if you see how they reacted after he came back from having to bury his mom earlier in the tournament, you will see just how much the players care and play for him. Today will be no different.
Kylian Mbappe is tied with Lionel Messi for the Golden Boot award and is only one assist of his pace for the tiebreaker, which are assists. With Argentina facing a shut down and tough Spanish team, Mbappe will be plenty motivated to try and get the prize, and I'm betting he gets on the scoresheet.
Simply put, while the Spanish were the French nemesis, the same can be said of France to England. England have only won one of the last nine H2Hs (D2, L6) so the playing styles don't really align, and most of those matches were with Deschamps at the helm.
The French will be motivated to win in their coaches' last game and, to be fair, England, while ranked 4th overall by FIFA, are a distant off from the third place, which happens to be France. So it's not unwarranted that they are heavy underdogs.
The heat will be an issue so there are some plays I thought about taking that might not be so attractive in a hot and muggy Miami. I just think France has too much and it will be hard for England to bring the type of intensity after having lost that heartbreak to Argentina.
Be back in a minute or two with the plays since I need to create a new post due to text restrictions by the site...

Continuing on, here is what I am personally getting behind....I think France plays a top first squad lineup to make sure they don't lose this game and Descchamps last one in charge:
FRANCE ML (-150)...INCLUDING EXTRA TIME & FRANCE (-115)...REGULATION TIME...BIG PLAY!!! Simply put, this is more expensive than the regulation time -115 and given the prowess that France have had against England, I see this game only going in one direction. I am going to BIG PLAY at the lower price since France do not often go into extra time over the past 3 World Cups when it comes to the knockouts (they have not played a third place game). They have gone to penalties in some important games but I do not see this game as tight and I do not personally see added time but I'm taking it just in case. If it goes to penalties, both of these lose.
FRANCE TT FG OVER 1.5 (-180)...INCLUDING EXTRA TIME...BIG PLAY!!!:. I'm going back to the well here and expecting France to get at least two goals if they show up with any motivation whatsoever. FOUR out of the last five H2H's saw France score 2 or more vs. England
FRANCE FH (+135): This will be my "shot in the dark" so to speak because France aren't the greatest of FH teams but they are certainly better than England. It's a third place game so anything is possible and I want to keep it that way since the (0) line which takes into account the draw as well is heavily juiced.
I also really loved YES BTTS but that is insanely juiced I think they don't want anyone to play it. Or, they want people to consider that 4 out of France's 5 games saw only ONE team score while 4 out of 5 games played by England saw BOTH teams score in 4 out of 5. I do think losing Saliba will open some things up for Kane and I might play him as an anytime goalscorer given that. The Mbappe line as an anytime goalscorer is also ridiculous so I will add a parlay potentially to encompass that.
I'm not going to ask that comments stay positive or add value since I know a few people don't know how to do it. Hoping to have a very profitable day and, as always, tail or fade, good luck to all....

Just want to add one thing...for the FH play, England, while they do not win the FH in most of their games, they have drawn the first half. That's why I wanted to take the play with the draw as well but it's too expensive to post.
It's going to be hot and humid but it was last time when England played Norway in Miami and they got 2 FH goals. So I know it's possible even though they went completely silent in the second half of that game.
I'm playing a parlay here too to try and just have a fun play where I can get all that I like under one bet and cash if the outlook was accurate:
FRANCE OVER 1.5 TT + FRANCE FH ML + KYLIAN MBAPPE ANYTIME GOALSCORER (including extra time) + YES BTTS = +350
Probably not going to happen but if it does I can gain 3 units and at least put my money where my mouth is, which is usually what I do anyways. Might be back later once the lineups are official but none of the plays will change.
Hoping everyone (including the trolls) are having a great weekend. Should be a good game regardless given the two countries on the field today .

Yes, agreed. Problem is that I don't think based on my France FH that it will be 0-0. Though based on the post I just drafted there is a way that both teams could score.
It's just rather insane how expensive the BTTS is given that France have played so many games in which only one team does. I too agree that England should get on the scoresheet but one never knows with oppressive heat and humidity how motivated these guys are as the game wears on. I think that's what happened in the England game vs. Norway, they were lively early, then just got drained by late in the game.
Good angle though

No need to worry about extra time happening in this let down why are we here mentally for both teams in the Miami heat no less. If it is tied at around the 85th minute it will be an all out take no prisoners approach by both teams to avoid extra time by scoring or be scored on trying, similar to a NHL team down a goal with 2 minutes left but I don't think that situation will manifest itself as France has a much deeper scoring squad starters and bench included and in this wide open game that offence will dictate and no protecting a lead either for France it's pedal to the metal for 90 minutes.
France 4-1

Damn lineups drove the price up even more! I couldn't help myself but the English are going to struggle on the back line vs. just Olise, let alone Mbappe as well. Doue is so much faster than Quansah so Saka will have to retreat on the left side and help out or else it might be a French firing squad.
I don't ever play the shots so I'm not even sure how to do it. But Pickford was super solid, not sure what Henderson will do, as good as he usually is, this is different. It's worth the gamble on:
FRANCE TT OVER 2.S (+130)...INCLUDING EXTRA TIME: Not sure what to expect for an Over/Under standpoint but it seems that extra time is being priced into this play as are a lot of goals. I'm not sure that the latter will happen or else I'd take the OVER but if there are goals, france will be part of it. As stated above, I think the English backs are going to have to try and offset the speed of both Doue and Olise wide, and then of course Mbappe in the center. In a game with a lot of lineup changes, I can see this hitting and could even see France stake an early lead and then put up more in the 2nd half, which is usually the half they net more frequently in.
Game should be really good and I'm hoping for a really solid day to roll into tomorrow's Final. As always, tail or fade, good luck to all. Now Allez Les Bleus!
