Last season all of Bayern's matches averaged 9.7 corners per game. All of Stuttgart's matches also averaged 9.7 corners per game. In their last head to head game in the domestic cup final there were only 3 total corners all awarded to Stuttgart in the loss. The season opener does not equate in urgency for either side to press thus the tendency for corners trends to the under in the first few weeks to any season.

2. Elversberg +1 @ 1.91/-110 (1u) Pinnacle

Once again I'm backing a newly promoted side in their home opener. I expect a high scoring match 2-2 even 3-3. Leverkusen are not your Xabi Alonso side of a few years ago. Sure they have the superior quality players but they have injuries on the wings. They a missing Arthur RB and Montrell Culbreath RW. On the other side they are without LW Ben Seghir and LW Martin Terrier

I backed Elversberg at home but I will fade them away from home. The odds here have gotten a little out of hand from opening around 1.63/-167 to almost evens currently. Gladbach are undefeated in their past 8 at home and I'm expecting a high scoring home win.

4. Hoffenheim +0.25 @ 1.89/-112 (1u) Pinnacle

The last time Dortmund travelled to Hoffenheim they lost 2-1 back in April. Dortmund have injuries and a mid week Champions league on tap against Villareal . Everything tells me they would be happy with a point

The Bundesliga has had only 3 games that ended level to start the season out of 19 matches. I expect a regression to the mean this weekend. Looking at the match ups first of Hoffenheim and Stuttgart have drawn all their past 4 head to head games. Koln & Bremen have drawn 4 of their past 8 head to head games. These are decent odds if I can even hit one of these draws.

8. Union Berlin +3.5 @ 1.78/-128 (1u) Bet365

The line here is completely crazy. Can Bayern win 6-0 sure, however where is the motivation?. The international break is coming up and most of the team is leaving the country. Head to head wise out of the past 4 Union has 2 draws and 2 losses with all games having 5 goals or less. To much love for the home side in my opinion who have no reason to beat down Union Berlin by such a margin.

DJ-I agree-a 5 is nuts with the reasons you mentioned...a 3-1 still wins the bet--this is not Barcelona!
