Hey boys, last night was massive for me and im paying for it now i feel like crap. Anyway a bit bored and was thinking about the NSW backline selection headaches! Was just writing my list and we will go through position headaches.

    Fullback........ Hayne/Gidley/ Stewart (Darkhorse?)

Wingers....... B.Morris/J.Morris/ Fergason/ Hayne/ Lawrence, Uate, Merrit? Gordon/ Jennings? Tahu? Dugan

    Centres......... Gasnier/ Cooper/ Lyon?/ Lawrence/ Idris/ Jnenings? Tahu?

    Halves....... Mullen/ Carney/ Pearce/ Hornby/ Soward/ Sutton?

If i had to pick the Origin backline today to play game 1 assuming everybody was healthy and fit, it would be as follows.

    1. HAYNE

    2. B.MORRIS

    3. M. GASNIER

    4. J.IDRIS

    5. B.FERGASON

    6. T. CARNEY

    7. J.MULLEN

I would take Gidley on the bench.

Its yime to kill the fascination peole have with gidley on the bench. He is either fullback or a spectator. Reality says spectator

    Dugan
    Uate
    Idris
    Lawrence
    Morris
    Carney
    Pearce

The backline isn't the issue, the pack is. Other then Farah, the rest are retards. And no Gallen, or any other idiot that has failed in the last 5 years should no be considered

Taking a massive punt on the Fergason selection but this kid looks to be a star! Maybe Lawrence/ Uate/ J.Morris would be the better number 5. Maybe Tahu will do something with his life and find form and put pressure on Gasnier. I think they can pick only 1 St. George Centre so either Gaz or Cooper will have to miss out. Maybe even both?

    SLATER vs HAYNE

    INGLIS vs IDRIS

    HODGES vs GASNIER/ COOPER/ LYON/ TAHU.

I think finally now without Izzy in the QLD team the NSW match up to this QLD superstar backline.

No gurantee Farah will even be picked Hirsch. I think they will go with Ennis to start and Gidley off the bench.

There is no way Tahu will ever play origin again.

We gotta remember guys Ricky Stuart has favourites. . I wonder how much bearing that will have on selection. Cant remember if Ricky is a fan of feguerson . Orgin team has to be based on form not just based on someones name IMO.

Mullen is playing miles ahead of pearcy at the moment i just hope he gets the credit he deserves. Will be interesting to see.

    Dugan or Hayne

    Morris/Ferguson

    Idris/ Lawerence

    Mullen

    Carney

I totally disagree. Ennis is made for Origin. He is a gamer. I would rather Farah in my club side anyday but Ennis is just an old school menace who gives 100% everytime and likes to get amongst the talk. NSW need his personality there. And with the left footed Mullen looking the goods to be in the halves, i don't think they will want another left footed kicker out of dummy half.

Given it's only two rounds, Mullen should be half over Pearce

who is the best hooker? farah. Discussion over

how has this whole "made for origin" bullshit worked out over the past 5 years? ennis wasn't such an old school menace when he ran away from a fight last year. Farah isn't afraid to get a scrum to erupt

here's a simple idea. Pick the best player in each position. Do you think Qld give a shit about who kicks with their left foot?

I'm a fan of Robbie, just yet to see him play a decent rep game.

Ennis should never play for NSW again.

I hold my point though. Pearce is one of the most overrated players in the comp.

Theres no way in hell do they take Dugan, Uate, Idris,Lawrence all in the same backline. It would really be biting the bullet for the selectors to do that. Which is why i think they will go with Hayne at fullback and at least one of the dragons centres for big match experience. Origin as we all no is a diff kettle of fish and i dont see them just bringing all the young guns in at once.

Pearce is only the option due to a lack of alternatives

Robson? Lui? Hogkinson? Cherry evans? Orford?

If you are good enough then you are ready. I don't remember Qld holding back Inglis, Smith, slater, etc.
