Yes, i have a friend who works as a bookie at a major bookmaker here in Aus........he told me they have passes (similar to media passes), they go to the training sessions and watch the players run around, talk to official team staff and keep an ear open......

So if Inglis, Slater and Smith were playing, the dogs would be at $2.60 for that game? hahahahahahaha

Having PHYSICALLY attended about 95% of training sessions of a certain NRL team over a period of about two and a quarter years I can tell you that is bullshit.

They do have 'moles' within clubs however, who provide information on occasion.  

But they're not at any training sessions. Anyone connected with a betting agency would be shot on sight once any head coach / assistant coach got wind of it. They are accutely aware of who is milling around on the sidelines and in the stands at their training sessions   

He said, the bookies all send what they think the odds should be, they all give there recommendations, then they compare it to a computer software and make adjustments, all the books use the same software, hence that is why they are all close......

All the O/S sports, they simply get them from Vegas, they dont make those up......
