When the Canes had the ball at the siren, and 75m to go, I felt it in my bones the Chiefs would allow them to score. Clock ticks past 84 minutes and Canes still have the ball. Was unreal.... Chiefs only challenged one ruck in all of those 4+ minutes. ONE.
Were they hoping for a knock-on or an infraction?
What a joke and hopeless effort by the Chiefs' defence in the final 4+ minutes.

Mate the Chiefs were just trying to hold on as they needed that win badly. They didnt want to give away needless penalties but in the end they got screwed by the video ref. But what can you do i think this year more so than others, there has been some really bad calls by not only refs but video refs who get plenty of time to make the right call.
Any way enough of that boys have to move on to the large card we have for tonight. Working on some plays at the moment and will be back with my plays.

I've seen about five matches this season, although there might have been even more, in which the losing team has been losing by less than a kick or a try and has the ball after the siren. The defending side challenges every ruck like it's their last ruck of their life. Sending 3 or 4 men barging over, hopefully for a turnover, a knock-on, a bad pass out of the ruck, a penalty, something, anything. And I've seen it work just about every time.
The Chiefs only committed once in those countless rucks in those 4+ minutes. It seemed like they were being carefully to avoid some sort of line break or a penalty. But they were up by more than 3, so who cares? Also, the Chiefs gave away penalty advantage 3 or 4 times late in the game on their tryline.
They let the Canes almost effortlessly and without worry control the rucks and slowly and methodically move the ball up the pitch. Took over 4 minutes, but they did it.
The dodgy benefit of the doubt TMO call should have never even been made. Handshakes and sheds should have been reached during the time Kaplan was calling upstairs.

Big D i think its clear me and you were watching a different game at this point after the heated discussion we had at golf.
Have looked over the games for today and here goes have a big card for the last saturday night of regular season play.
Picks:
Brumbies/Blues over 50.5 1 unit @ $1.90
This game should have a a few points in it this arvo. The Brumbies have shown good ability to score points and play good footy and they need a good win today. The Blues on the other hand has a defense that opens faster than a person in heat. The Brumbies overall on the season are 6-10 on totals however they are 6-2 on totals in games outside the Aussie confrence.The Blues are 10-5 on totals for the season and in games outside the confrence they are 4-3 so not largely in favour of the over but really this game should go over and be a track meet.
Brumbies -7.5 2 unit @ $1.90
They have it all to play for at home in a big game for their season and the Blues have 0 to play for and really that should be enough said. Not to mention the Blues team looks just pure slack and the Brumbies are all but full strenght. The Brumbies are 10-6 Su and 9-6-1 ATS for the season and in games outside their confrence they are 4-4 Su and 5-3-0 ATS. So they are good numbers. The Blues on the other hand are 3-12 Su and 5-10-0 ATS for the season and in games outside the confence they are 3-4 Su and ATS. So not bad when not playing NZ teams but that is boosted with the game last week and early on in the season when they had just stated out. Trust me cant look past the Brumbies in this spot.
Crusaders/Force over 54.5 1 unit @ $1.90
Where to begin with this game. The Force are just pure rubbish and not better way to get ready for finals footy than to get a tune up game. The Saders know they need a win and a big win at that and will come out fired up and ready to paste the crappy force.The Saders are 8-7 on totals for the season and in games outside the confrence they are 3-4 so have not been big on the over but really they are playing for a lot tonight and they will be preped and ready to score points. The Force on totals are 7-8 overall and 3-4 in games outside the confrence. So really neither team has the record to suggest big points other than what happened to the force last week and same goes with the saders. This will be a pointathon.
Reds -8.0 2 unit @ $1.90
Have it all to play for and the team is back to strenght and ready to put points on the board. Many of the games in the Aussie confrence this year have been tight and low scoring but that will not be the case here tonight. The Reds need a win and a big win so expect to see plenty on ball movement and tries i beleive. The Reds are 10-5 Su and 7-7-1 ATS for the season and in confence games they are 6-1 Su and 4-2-1 ATS. So that is a great record in confrenec and going to be riding that tonight. The Tahs on the other hand are 4-11 Su and 6-9-0 ATS for the season and in the confrence they are 3-4 Su and 2-5-0 ATS. So a lot of support there for the Reds tonight and going to role with that.
Stormers/Rebels over 46.5 2 unit @ $1.90
Stormers should be able to run all over the weak Rebels in this one. Although the Stormer are 4-11 on totals overall they are 3-4 in games outside the confrence so there is a little to suggest they have been able to score more points against teams that aint from SA. The Rebels are 11-4 on totals overall and 6-1 on totals in games outside the confence so there is the support for the over play in this one boys.Also a lower number as well which should help.
Lions +18.0 1 unit @ $1.90
They have been better of late and think they have enough to keep the game close as many of the confence games have been in SA. Bulls coming off a beating at the hands on the Sharks and the Lions off a nice tune up win last week. The Lions are 3-12 Su and 6-9-0 ATS overall and in confrence they are 2-3-1 Su and 3-4-0 ATS so havnt been to bad really. The Bulls are 9-6 Su and 7-8-0 ATS overall and in confrence they are 4-3 Su and ATS. So not a lot separates the confernce record and 18 points is a large number.
Lions/Bulls under 55.0 1 unit @ $1.90
Really cant find a reason for this number to be so high. You would think that both teams are major over teams but that really is not the case. The Lions are 7-8 on totals overall and 2-5 in confrence games. The Bulls are 9-6 on totals overall but in confrence they are also 2-5 on totals. So that suggests to me they play hard D in confence and that is what i expect to happen tomorrow morning.
Well told you was going to be a big card and also pending some TT overs as well. Will be on the Saders TT over for sure and just going to wait and see some of the over numbers.
