In the modern game, overs  and unders are very very hard to predict.

Have a look at the games thus and the majority of games that go over, their are tries that involve a great deal of luck.

Look at last night. The game went over, Soward picks up a loose ball and runs 80 metres to score. Pommeroy bats a ball back that was 1 metre passed the dead ball line. There were only 4 well constructed tries last night. But the only reason why that went over was because of 2 very lucky tries. How do you cap that?

This is why overs and unders are very very hard these days, simply because you are subjecting yourself to an enormous amount of luck.

Back 6-7 years ago when overs and unders were soooo much easier, teams could easily score 8-9 tries a game that were well constructed. Because of the wrestle, obstruction laws, more athletes these days than footballers etc etc, it has really had an effect on overs and unders.

Really, if you take an over, you are relying on 1-2 lucky fortunate tries to get you the cash. If you take an under, you are relying on those lucky tries not happening. as I said, it wasn't like 6-7 years ago.
