Weyman isn't on the money you would expect. He was signed from Canberra as an injury prone, suspension prone prop.

Who should have Newcastle gone after? Hard to say, but throwing money at a guy just because he comes from the area isn't the best idea. Maybe look at who is off contract for the following season and pencil them in, and use of that free cap money to front end contracts next season. Let Bennett have a season to sort the team out, then bring in what he feels are the missing pieces.
