sportingbet a book of substance
sportingbet manning up
betsar
The only books that will take a bet of any size are the TAB's books. The rest are gutless shits. IAS used to, but Paddy Power will put pay to that
Sportingbet and betstar have taken my 1K+ wagers.C/bet often can only get 500 max, on certain markets eg NZ rugby, netball.
Sometimes much less eg the NSW coach market wanted 500 US and they gave me a whooping $25 US. As I said C/bet are one of the biggest jokes out there for winning or clients and/or who don't bet small time.

It differs from client to client. Sportsbetting 101 I thought.

that's odd. I was able to bet four figure amounts with CB right the way through this year's netball season. And without blowing my own horn, I enjoyed an EXTREMELY profitable campaign in that competition (five figures in the plus). Not sure what constitutes a "small time" betting client, but am personally "in the black" just under 50k with them since starting up a couple of years ago and the only events I've had limits whacked on were some of the FIBA tournaments (european championships, u19 mens and womens championships, ect) in June and July this year.

Not odd at all....simply your account isn't marked (as a sharp). Though if you keep that success up longterm, it may not be long before it is.

Either you're a Sportingbet spook, you don't know what you are talking about.
Individual bet limits may be determined on a bet-by-bet basis by a Centrebet bookmaker. Important: Notwithstanding any other rule, the maximum amount that may be won by any client in any calendar week (Monday to Sunday) is two hundred and fifty thousand Australian dollars (AUD$250,000.00) or its equivalent in other currency.

No Idea what the relevance or meaning of this post is. But everything I have posted in this thread is based on my experience with the company in question and experience in the Industry.

just out of interest, what sort of +ve do some of the big hitters / professionals ring up at online books over a longterm period ? And are they ever ordered to close their accounts due to too much success at the book's expense ?

Just before I answer, I suspect some people here are wondering (I do recognise some of you from other places)....who is this guy?
Abit about me....been a pro or semi pro sports gambler for the past 15 years. Have various roles in the Industry other than betting....writing, consultancy and mod at cappersmall.com (my accurate betting records the past 5 years documented there too).
To answer your question. Easily the most common scenario is for the books to limit your bets.
For a pro this acts the same as closing your account....If u wnat 2000 on something and they only give u 200 u are going to look elsewhere. Of course the way a pro can get around this is to spread your bets around many books to get the sum amount u want.
The reason for me posting in this thread intially was I have got sick of hearing how great a book C/Bet is. Once upon a time they were for me too, but not anymore.

The relevance is that you are wrong - hence the post and verbatim rules posted by Centrebet.

Your grammar capabilities suggest a polar opposite of what you claim.
And IF you knew what you were talking about, you would have backed up what you said with what Centrebet posts on their website.
FAIL = no cred.

No offence but I don't want "cred" from anyone here. I merely entered this thread to vent and state my opinion on the company in question.
Goodluck to you all in the future.

norse, I don't see how someone's grammatical capabilities qualify or disqualify them as being a legitimate pro punter ?
Just because CB claims to have a 250k per week ceiling doesn't mean they'd only step in and enforce limits if a customer was nudging that mark. I guess it would make business sense (to them) to reel in a client who was consistently taking a reasonably significant amount of money from them over a prolonged period of time.

He was philosophically that far off the mark and I knew he was.......from personal experience - hence the cut/paste post.

From another guys post elsewhere:
"I know there has been a lot said about this pack of pathetic piss weak spinners of tall tales, but when they won't even let you put $250 on a $1.75 shot in the tennis then you really do have to wonder about their so called million dollar punters.... "
"And this is what I find the most incredulous thing about the whole affair.... I'm losing with them on tennis. ...So I decided to ring them up this afternoon. Was told very politely that I'm allowed to win either $200 or $300 depending upon the tournament. Apparently their limits are either $2000 or $3000 and so therefore it seems I'm allowed 10% of that. "
I took a chunk out of centrebet a few weeks ago in the World Swimming Champs. Haven't heard a peep from them about it. I have taken a rather large amount off them with tennis sets betting. Not a word from them. They are prepared to take my bets
If unsportingbet is so great why do they not put up prices for all Toyota Cup games? Why do they put some games up less then an hour before kick off? because they want to see what everybody else is doing and dont' want to be hit.
sportingbet want small, recreational (i.e losing) punters only. They are not a bookmaker at all. If it wasn't for bet365 then sportingbet would be the worst book on the planet
and tell me why a book would restrist ones account?
