Centrebet - Regulatory Authority

Today I have experienced a very dissapointing dipute with Centrebet where they have refused to recognise accepted bets that were winning and processed those that were losing.  To say that I am astonished is an understatement and I am happy to divulge details privately to anyone interested.
 
My question is, could somebody please advise of the government body that regulates the sports wagering activities of Australian books?

I'd be astonished if CB didn't recognise a winning bet which was accepted. I'm pretty curious so would love to know your situation in more detail given I use them quite frequently.

I noticed recently, and by recently, I mean in the past 2? months or so, give or take.......CBet has been cashing my (winning) 5 inning baseball bets before the game is over. I've never had a book do that before.

Other than having to point out wrong starting pitchers or even prices (they had $1.01 listed for both teams several days ago) about every 7-10 days to them, I've never had no probs with them.

Is that 5 inning thing along the same lines as what you are talking about? Or what sport we talking about here?

One of the worst books out there. Unless you are either a small timer or a losing client, then you will be welcome. Stick with Aussie books that man up and take bets of substance eg sporting bet aussie or betstar.

gamblingdisputes@nt.gov.au they will investigate it and let you know the outcome within a week

i dont play 5 innings but i have played mlb 1st innings, nba 1st halfs and nrl 1st halfs on sportingbet.com.au and they always settle the wager after the 1st inning or 1st half so wat they are doing is not wrong

Even in basketball they settle 1H bets after the half and not wait until the completion of the game. Fairly common practice.

  absolutley correct 1st half 1st quarters 1st inning thye always settle before the game finishes but today was wierd sportingbet.com.au settled my parra and over full game winning when they was still 6 minutes on the clock and parra up 40-8 i said thanks to them cos thats the first time ever they settled with 5 minutes remaining sportingbet.com are the good guys

and why wouldn't they settle your bets quickly, they want you to cycle to money and increase their chances of taking it off you.

Very strange from Centrebet always known them to be completely professional. That said I have not used them for a while.

The only books that will take a bet of any size are the TAB's books. The rest are gutless shits. IAS used to, but Paddy Power will put pay to that

gun, this is the regulatory body for books licensed in the Northern Territory. Tell Centrebet you are going to take it up with this mob, and if Centrebet do nothing then contact them

Thanks KingD / Second, precisely what I have done.  Issued a formal request today for the situation to be rectified, and failing that I will seek the intervention of the NT Racing Commission.  I don't hold hope that the Racing Commission will do much, but a necessary step prior to litigation.

No worries champ i hope ur issue gets resolved, theyll prob take about a week to reply back to you to let you know they have read ur complaint, and then they will investiagate and let you know the outcome

somtimes they take ages to settle bets sometimes i rekon they take long on purpose so you deposit more money in

Gun, I have only one book and its CENTREBET, I am very intrigued with the situation. Please except my friend request and share the issue.If they a dodgy I would rather know and hopefully avoid the same situation happening to me. Cheers
