    Lockyer out yes.

But I don't buy the 'last week was such a tough game' bullshit.

These guys train from November, play 26 rounds of it. You can't use 'last week was a hard game' as an excuse at the pointy end of the year imo

very situational imo, the broncos have been on such a high playing a string of big games at home and so much of it has been about winning for Lockyer.

All of a sudden these young guys are down in Sydney, Lockyer's gone and they're up against a fresh side with plenty of big strong mature bodies that know how to play tough direct footy.

The Broncos will hopefully be better for nights like tonight in a year or two

something straight from Rick Stone's playbook

The Broncos pack should win easily tonight - in fact, that was my main reasoning for betting them. I was worried about the loss of Lockyer's tactical kicking (which has proven a big hole), but thought the Broncs could bash them into some sort of contest.

Manly are a good side, but I refuse to believe that they are that good, especially without G Stewart, who is close to if not their MVP.

Brisbane should be up for this, up to their ears.

The baby broncos excuse has been bandied around for about 3 seasons now - these kids are ready.

    No excuses.

    No excuses.

Broncos played well since they scored that try. Not out of at all, we saw what happened last Friday night when the Warriors played like shit in that first half

Mate, I like to think I know this team I've followed since they first came in and I really thought this would happen tonight for exactly the reasons I told you.

It's got nothing to do with Rick Stone's playbook, it's about younger blokes who aren't experienced enough yet to deal with very difficult situations like the one they face tonight.

manly is very very good side. They're where I hope the Broncos might be in a year or two when some of these young guys mature physically and mentally

If Tinks says 'Battler, pick your pack from:

    Galuvao, Ballin, Kite, Watmough, Williams, Rodney, or;

Maguire, McCullough, Hannant, Glenn, Thaiday, Parker'

I aint picking the Manly boys.

    Agree to disagree.

Your boys are good enough right now to beat Manly.

Manly are a good siade, no doubt. They are not a very, very good side.

I think you sell your lads short

Must admit I do tend to be a bit pesimistic most of the time with the Broncos, but Manly were the one team I really thought they had little chance of beating right now all things being equal
