Rick Stone would be a step backwards imo. I don't know the man other than seeing his name a lot around the QLD Cup in recent years, but promoting the assistant coach always has such a "consolation prize" feel about it (just ask the Broncos! 
)
Real shock the way this has played out so suddenly. Brian Smith had such a "feel good" story going at the Knights and it really appeared as though he and the club still had a long way to go together.
Smith also appeared to have a real passion and committment to the betterment of Rugby league in the Newcastle area.
But I guess the shifty eyed little mongoose is what he is afterall.

GL AB, with Smith / Finch out, I worry that the Eels put up a similar effort to last Monday and get up tonight, particularly playing for Hindy.
For me, it's the under 39.5, the Storm averaging the fewest points of any team in the top eight in attack and only allowing 14.8 pts in defence - although that could change with Smith out. The only danger imo is the offloads of the Eels who average the highest in the comp. Anyway, GL to all.

AB, I was gunna hit the Storm until I heard that as well. If it's any consolation the last time he was out the Storm won with a field goal - but, the Eels are hungry and the Storm are off their game - will need some Billy magic - although at dummy-half he won't be chasing any kicks through for tries.

Will have to wait for team lists to comment on that one Norse, if the match were next week i'd be taking Watmough in a close one. But the match is at Olympic and there's plenty of injuries / suspensions before Rd 24. Plus, Manly's ability to score tries should return for that match (ie. Stewart).

That was an accident on my part. I had no idea they were playing each other that week. My question was more along the lines of who's the better team by that time of the season, as in just before the playoffs.0
