okay, to make this an official NBA post...never ever ever bet on the nets...no one, and i mean NO ONE, knows what team will show up on any given night...boston and philly back to back losses...please!....moving on...Ive seen enough...ive picked (but not posted) the last 3 idol winners...Taylor Hicks, Carrie Underwood, and Fantasia...i was wrong on Clay Aiken beating Reuben Studdard, i will say that...it is obvious the way this show functions...the shows producers and judges want to skew the audience toward a new breed of singer...and they want alternating personalities/ethnicities represented every year... lets look at past winners

    1) Kelly Clarkson - White female singer who can belt it as good as any african american girl
    2) Reuben Studdard - African American Male Big 'Teddy Bear' soul singer who bucked the trend of the 'perfect' idol image
    3) Fantasia Barrino - African American Female Soul/R&B/Gospelesque type
    4) Carrie Underwood - White female southern belle country singer
    5) Taylor Hicks- White male jazzy/gospel ...i dont exactly know how to categorize him...people just liked him

Well its time for a woman again, not only because women are better singers, but they are more suited for the show and weekly themes they throw at them every week. Women like to dress up, sing, become more engaged in the show and its working parts.

I have your winner right now. And its not Lekisha Jones. Lekisha IS the best singer, power wise, and hitting that high note that sends chills up your spine...but she lacks the one thing that all idol winners of the past had(exculding fantasia to a certain extent)...the 'likability' factor. this factor overules all...the best singers will perform and make it to the final three, but when the votes get tight, the fan following that has been established for the one well-liked individual will be enough to knock off the top dog. This girl has it all. Nice coy smile. Extraordinary humble demeanor for a person of her skill. A wonderfully poised disposition for someone singing in front of 27 million people a week. Flawless execution. And is more technically advanced than anyone else in this competition (she was an ex-backup singer unlike the karaoke singers shes competing against). Lastly and most importantly, even you, a normal sport guy who roams the internet for betting trends on Rockets/Spurs over unders, will like this girl...put it all together and you have a winner...why post this now? the odds will never be in your favor more...take a look at the video and then take a look at one of the most demeaning critics in TV history and how he was simply awed by this performance...can i call a winner by one performance? oh yes. shes much mor than a one hit wonder my friends...your winner of American Idol 6.....

after simon declared lakisha the winner, she was a bigger favorite than dolittle, but now dolittle is favored.  Thing is, when they have the group songs, most of the females sound pretty much the same.  Which isnt good because you may get split voting or whatever, when it comes down to 5 or so left...

well i knew that wouldnt work, so i tried to convert to text and i got anothermess:

    American Idol

    Props

Tue 3/20 Who will be eliminated on March 21?

    401 Ph Stacey +460

    402 Haeey Scarmiato +335

    403 Stephane Edwards +494

    404 Sanjaya Malakar -108

    405 chris S1gh +3304

    406 Gana Gbcksen +2301

    407 Chris Richardson +2253

    408 Jordln Sparks +5000

    409 Blake Lewis +5000

    410 Lakisha Jones +10000

    411 MebmdalDookttle +15000

but at least its readable.  funny odds though, clearly sanjayal is the worst singer, possibly one of the worst in the finals of any american idol season.  yet he's got some following, and voteforetheworst as well.   I cant tell much difference between any of the black women so its  possible within the next couple weeks someone like stephanie edwards goes .  Its also possible (im not too sure though) that this episode was pre-taped, as theyve done in the past when there was 12 and 11 people to do the necessary editing to fit in all the performances, and therefore someone knows something...

Honestly I was pretty sure he wouldnt have gotten voted off. He's getting a lot of hype for being so bad. I dont watch the show nor use a book that takes the weekly wagers, but I wouldn't have played him even if I did. Will he win? No way. Will he last another week? Probably.

Will Sanjaya Malakar be eliminated on March 28th?
One contestant must be eliminated on March 28th, 2007 for this prop to be considered action

    yes +170
    no -190

this at pinnacle, as of now.

funny how the odds changed so much, before they were sure he'd be gone/  but you can see theres a clump of people on one level and the rest are higher up.  So I'd say he's gone before the "higher-end" people start to get eliminated.   if you think about it, people who voted for person X, will likely vote for someone else now that their favorite is gone, but they wont likely move those votes to Sanjaya since they must think he is to blame.

He is getting alot of publicity though for his crappyness, Jimmy kimmel yesterday had 3-4 different jokes about himh

this dude is all over the news and on SNL, etc. ---ZERO--- chance of him going home this week unless its rigged.  Because you cant vote him off, unless the entire world works together by splitting their votes evenly between every other contestant, but even then it might not work.

line is quite a bit higher by now, i took it in the -200s...

Very very valuable line. He's gotten so much more press than any of the other contestants it is laughable.

So my wife said he is still there. Nice hit. Did he even get into the bottom 3?

back when there were 12 guys, Seacrest for the first time I remember, said what position someone was in voting-wise, when he said Sanjaya was the #4 vote-getter, so you have to imagine, by now he must be getting TONS of votes from your cynical internet message board poster(this is 90% of the internet)

So for right now, probably Sanjaya's odds are right on, as he will likely survive a few more weeks, the odds will move again in our favour, because, most of The Internet would confuse gambling probability with their own consensus but remember, 5000 people on one of these kinds of message boards supporting sanjaya (well, hating American idol, and everything else) is really nothing compared to the millions of actual viewers.

---> in summary: here are the odds:

    Tue 4/3

Who will be eliminated on April 4th?

     First # is Pinnacle, 2nd # is bet365

    Haley Scarnato

      +230, +160

    Phil Stacey

     +274, +250

    Sanjaya Malakar

      +580, +600

     Chris Richardson

     +582, +650

     Gina Glocksen

      +370, +350

    Lakisha Jones

      +4000, +2500

     Jordin Sparks

      +4000, +2500

     Blake Lewis

      +4000, +5000

     Melinda Doolittle

      +10000, +6600

This week is standards week with Tony Bennett, hmm  I dunno, I like the odds on Gina glocksen, she's quite bad, and will probably dress like crap for this.  Sanjaya will likely do the same as always, and should squeak by.  Theres also more matchups here and there.

Wow never came on other parts of the forum other than the straight sports, anyway i can't see anyone winning besides melinda either, she's just flat out the best in my opinion i've thought so since the very beginning of the guys and girls, into the top 12 and blah blah

    I would rank them
    1) Melinda
    2) Jordin
    3) Lakisha
    4) Blake
    5) Chris
    6) Haley
    7) Phil
    8) Sanjaya

Now people get screwed all the time, Sanjaya should have been gone weeks ago but the winner will be hard to mess up on melinda and risking 500, hope you all wish me luck and vote on her, gl Reacharound
