I disagree Lance has done several training runs at a distance of 10 miles at a 6:00 pace. The guys who will be pacing hime Salazar and Samualson or former marathon champions. These guys can run 10 miles at a 6:30 pace in there sleep. Even Henry Rono at 5'9" and nearly 200 lbs ran a 37 minute 10K after a hard night of drinking. What worries me is what happens after he gets to 20 miles because he hasn't done any training runs greater than 16 miles. He certainly won't run a 2:40 marathon, but considering he is fit, has the required mental toughness. I think he has a good chance of going sub 3:00. Hell I did it and I'm a hack.

I hope you guys bet the under. Just barely, but he made it and I think that is a hell of an accomplishment. If you can run a sub 3 hour marathan helmut then that's a hell of an accomplishment.
