@bellsbendboy Thought this sequence could pay and it did yet proved a bit too volatile for us. Purses rival Saratoga and no ship, no Pletcher, no Chad etc. stock here at the Pea Patch never better. Not that it's easy to win; ridiculous heat, horrible humidity, seen many melt well before post time. Did not have to deal with claimers so took a swing, though time did not allow pre-race comments not posted, I spent 2-3 hours on the sequence. 6) had bad luck this heat, no fan of Ms. Michael, good caretaker, never wins, yet her Tapit filly laid all over these on the engine. In a prerace interview Lynch made it clear his mare was dead short, so the boy (in his only mount of the day) quarter horses this one to the lead, Vince per force stalks, takes the lead into the turn, then the aforementioned boy sticks a half mile out, we put him away opened up, fought yet 45, 1;08 hurt bad as we lost the bob. A tenet worth mentioning is fitness/recency especially going two turns, horses seldom win 2nd off going two bends. Our three pack; off ninety days, and the other two one race back after long benchings, the race winner raced 32 furlongs since mid April. Swing and miss, toast burned leg one. 7) Went three deep finding no others capable all at some 3-1. Fast Town ran to his paddock looks, the other two (both who should win next out) had self inflicting voyages. Stake: Took a foursome with a pair who have never turfed, and may never try it again, the other pair was the exacta. 9) Could only find a duo worth including; Brad's "tiz filly that cold cocked Hallandale maidens, again mid April, tenets usually win, ran great 2nd best. Our other an enigma, though first turf. $450K Flatter filly been working huge, nominated to opening day "Toga stake, green. Broke soft never involved at a ridiculous 8-1, figured something to five! Kudo's to Mike tons the best reclamation trainer on the planet, Casse, Motion could do little with this one, goes to Mike, one soft half in six weeks, tour de force. Four pays some $3500 for a pair of quarters. Delmar the 18th. bbb |

From a pick six standpoint, doubt the big carryover survives two days, though Saturday handle, itself, certainly entices. Begins with Fleur de Lis, G2, mares, nine poles, 50th rendition, brings monster "Thorpedo" off a poor effort. Singel? At Odds On? Fast Anna freak for Kenny formidable here, working super, seems lapped on Prat's mount off the fence, have very chance, not much to beat. bbb

@Mskeets Good for you Skeets. While it takes a couple of decades to learn how to cap, i can assure you the number one bbok to read is the condition book. You would likely be the only female in the race. In fact, my opinion, a hundred to one to run here, tho your leadership will likely burn a couple of grand to nominate, will help with the dispersal, again wondering how that works with your share. In ten days or so, on the dmtc site, the nominations will be clear, soon after the pp's, tho brisnet format, yuk. Hypothetically, do not think Nysos (123) Seismic (116) offers you a prayer, and there will be other monsters competing. bbb |

@Mskeets Only race possible @ Delmar is the stake 7/24 which is certainly the goal. Iowa race a minor possibility, east coast voyage less. If you are inclined google Delmar condition book, slim pickins. |

@bellsbendboy Messed up some very solid handicapping with indecision on which sequence to play. Considered the pick six, then the five, then the four, settled on the pick 5, Decided to bet early and went four deep in leg one, while running 1,2,3,4, yet when the Reddam homer for Dougie opened even money this heat was over. Alive, yet expended precious capital. The Capo saw JT scratch 2 of his three and Hector on the other grabbed the front. Not sure what Kent was thinking as his charge, a half million-dollar earner, who has NEVER passed a horse was taken in hand? settling for a stalking voyage? If not for b off, his decision was ignorant, though few jocks ever as talented and unpredictable. Our other inclusion traveled to Baltimore and returned empty as a bag of Doritos at a frat party, Ricky not a good play in a graded heat. The winner was touted by internet players I respect was the only one running at the end, certainly her closing fraction in her last made her a player, bad miss. "Pony ran to his exceptional works and once the Baffert could not pass the vet, long gone, simple single @ a baffling $6.80? Stallion pedigree, should crush @ Delmar in next trip. Messy down the hill heat had to go long, clever conditioner Glatt lays the winner off a year, chops him and enters for the tag when not required? Hello $21.80 Last leg painful, singled >80 cents on the dollar likely winner, ran big, yet one of our strongest tenets is a soph, after one juvy voyage when well bet is always dangerous. No better example than Peter's homer from the lime and blue. Grazen filly debuted exactly one year ago, drew the rail, big field, dirt, at 13-10, coming into that affair with modest morning works, never theless ignored the billboard, had we been alive a cardinal cappin sin. Five pays some $4100 for a pair of quarters, take some time to regroup and prepare for surf meets the turf. bbb |

@Mskeets Horse connection(s) and inside info are somewhat nebulous inquiries for me. In short, maybe longer, my grandfather took me to track at some 6 years old, at the end of the drunkathon, where he contributed heavily, I asked if I could keep the racing forms? He replied they are not any good after today! Three weeks later on our return visit Saratoga/Finger Lakes, I had memorized the forms, the horses, trainers etc., his R.O.I. improved though likely not to profitability, like most. Univ. of KY finance degree took 13 yrs, GPA 2.08, spent a lot of time, all my time at the track and training centers, fortunate to have had Secretariat on a shank dozens of times, have worked for a half dozen hall of fame trainers, now just a part timer. Aside re: "Rum" no animosity, he dances every dance, which guarantees being a losing player. Posts ZERO analysis and chortles about his winnings and overall knowledge, while exhibiting endless exhilaration at losing in an 11-10 game. |

Found a pair of short-priced singles who "should" win so played the late 5.
No time for analysis, yet spent a few hours, a decent play for anyone willing to put up twenty bucks. 2,5,8,10 / 7,8 / 2 / 2,5,6,8,10 / 7 bbb |

@Mskeets You are likely a better picker than "Rum". He (last 30 days) has lost 22cents for each dollar bet, mostly due to his blind dart props/parlays and ubiquitous coin flips. |

@Mskeets At this point she has already done enough to qualify for the Cup; being careful from here? Yesterday's 3/8's indicates indecision, two turn animals seldom work that short. Where to go, what to do? Fillies/mares tough to sit on, few win off 60 plus days in top company, race in Iowa makes sense to me, 6-5 as an odds-on favorite, $100K, good spacing for the graded race at Delmar, which I strongly feel is the goal. Next work will tell us a lot. Certainly, be a half, likely solo, like last, we'll see. Aside to Rum" My first foray into the sport was walking hots and filling hay racks for Woody Stephens. He taught me a lot. I was recommended by Seth, @ Claiborne where I worked my way thru college at UK. While I scour any data that will give me an advantage, on any given sequence/ bet, I post my own analysis.

@Mskeets "Seismic just stretched her legs never getting out of a gallop, as I related there is nowhere to run her. She's really good now, all dressed up and no party to attend. Aside to "rum" congrats your phrase "each race has diff horses which you then have to handicap". Bravo, a rare slice of intellect compared to your usual, ubiquitous blind darts. |

@Mskeets Not unusual, unfortunately your mare is in a tough spot, why I inquired about divestiture. Peter, probably controlling the shots here, though double B the judge and jury. No question Breeders cup a dream, likely a fantasy, not out of packet, sadly the path there difficult. Not wired to the Baffert barn, though have confirmed insights, your mare overcame the chip procedure is really good right now. Hearing the race in Iowa, early July being considered and ultra confident the grade one Hirsch the real goal, why I inquired about divestiture of shares. Talented mare. Aside to "Rum" it's clear to anyone her you have no clue. Losing 20 cents for every dollar bet, while chortling your wins, ignoring the losses hardly a role model. You are with your ubiquitous dart tosses clearly the: juice Monster. |

@Mskeets Breeders Cup likely goal yet getting there an interesting exercise in horse management. Talent wise very possible, headstrong filly is good now. Expect a work next few days, Delmar stake likely next voyage. Wondering if/when she is sold do you get a cut? And when do you sell her, get her in foal first? Familiar with the ownership principals, yet do not know how the "cash out" affects the shareholders. No worries with "rum" he doesn't know a furlong from a fetlock. His ubiquitous posts/bets are dart boards in the dark, a few here follow him, foolishly. |
