Tyrell Hatton ov Alexander Levy


I like Hatton to come out of this group, and I think he’ll get off to a good start in his first round.  Hatton is 6-2 in match play, Levy is 2-7 in match play.  


Patrick Reed ov HaoTong Li


Love the way Reed is playing, he’s in the same group as Jordan Spieth, and he may be the most motivated guy in the field.  HaoTong Li since his win on the European Tour hasn’t finished better than 53rd since then.


Shubhankar Sharma ov Sergio Garcia


Sharma is +125 against Sergio.  Sergio just had a kid…why is he playing this week?  I don't see the motivation for him.

I chanced the other side of Hatton and Reed 1st round, Andy. LIKE the Sharma pick @ +125. Shubhankar usually stars a tourney strong. it;s his recent fianl rounds where he fails.

at their high odds I chanced

Luke List +175 over Justin Thomas
Alex Levy +135 over Tyrrell Hatton
Haotong Li +165 over Patrick Reed
Dylan Frittelli +105 over Xander Schauffele

also a "wild donkey" parlay $20 to rerturn $131.45

some unreal 1st round upsets

Tommy Fleetwood -175 over Ian Poulter LOSE 2 & 3
Dustin Johnson -320 over Bernd Wiesberger LOSE 1 & 3
Rory McIlroy -280 over Peter Uihlein LOSE 1 & 2
Jon Rahm -210 over Keegan Bradley 1 down thru #16

well that is IT for ME in the match play foolishness. EVERY damn bet Wednesday a LOSER. IF the likes of Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood and Jon Rahm (got a halved with Bradley) can NOT take care of business THEN this is even MORE unpredictable than the round and tourney match plays in a normal stroke play tourney

think I will take a break from golf betting until the Masters

Not sure why they are offering -1/2 prices, but it feels like a free discount.

WGC Match play is the one week you play the dogs heavy. 

Case in point was yesterday's matches! More proof will come today and tomorrow!

I've often wagered -1/2 in match play. Not a free discount, as it takes the PUSH for a draw out of play.

dimes offered Halve options, which means to me that if they tie, and you picked a side, the tie equals a loss.  So seeing the -1/2 was a bit surprising.  Went 2-0 today with no ties, so I didn't run into that scenario.

WOW!!! last years winner Dustin Johnson SKUNKED and runner up Jon Rahm just ONE point thru two rounds. BOTH OUT!!!

Alex Noren just KILLING with 4 & 2 and 5 & 4 WINS. winner between he and Tony Finau both with 4 points advances in group #13 Friday

my Thai "Round Mound" "A Fat Barn Rat" with 3 & 2 and 1 up WINS. LEADS group #3 with 4 points Rahm 1 point, Bradley 1 point BUT Chez Reavie 3 points. Kiradech has to play Rahm Friday while Reavie gets Bradley Friday

I'm also on the Dimes. There are 2 options, 

1. Pick'em option where a tie is a push,
or canceled wager, not a loss.

2. - 1/2 / + 1/2 option where there are obviously no ties.

Nice job on the 2-0 today.
I also went 2-0 with Thomas - 1/2  and Casey - 1/2.

Let's hit it again on Friday.  (Fleetwood and Grace)

Lol.  Thank you LeRink.  Anyone who listens to the podcast, twitter, or whatever with me knows I've been on Reed all week to win that group, and beat Spieth straight up.  I said it since Tuesday, and put my money where my mouth is today, and got rewarded.  Totally messed up the Hatton pick today, but who's keeping track...lol.  Nice of Hatton to close out the tie break quick, and then say he was disappointed in his performance earlier.  

Crazy Crazy lineup for tomorrow.  Lol.  Some of the names who made it through...just insane.

Regarding Justin Thomas...This feels like last year where DJ looked invincible, and you just bet on him every round, and he was pure profit.  He's -170, and rightfully so against Bubba...haven't decided if I want to play it or not.  This feels like a bet that I don't make, and JT cruises to a victory and I feel like an idiot for not betting it.

Looking at the stats of this week all of these guys look pretty similar. With JT needing a win over Bubba to gain the #1 player in the world, I would think the pressure will be solely on him. I see JT being favored but there are clearly better -170 favs to back in weeks to come in my opinion.

Bubba playing well and can make birdies with anyone. 
-170 for 1 round too high. 
Bubba in Augusta in 2 weeks would be a play.
