The 3rd Major is here...THE Open Championship held at Royal Liverpool in Hoylake, England. Old school track that is the second oldest seaside links golf course in England. Typical links style but not to crazy like some can get. Measures around 7,300 yards. I like old school guys with patience and excellent course management that think green back to box. Par 4 Performance is a must.
Defending Champion is Phil Mickelson

Hoylake will play much differently from the way it did in 2006. The rough is pretty lush/nasty and the fairways have been narrowed. Iron play will be at a premium and as usual in The Open weather can have a major impact on scoring. Going to invest some of my US Open winnings and try to hit a price here. The odds and my eyes tell me there is no clear favorite. Playing these to win: Kaymer 20-1, Fowler 33-1, Snedeker 50-1, Jimenez 80-1, & Ryan Moore 125-1. Always loved the early morning golf on Open weekend. Enjoy & good luck!
