The 2014 U.S. Open is finally here!! It's being held at the famed Pinehurst Resort this year. Pinehurst No. 2 has some of the most difficult greens in the game today. They are small, crowned, undulating and quick. It will take some nifty iron work to get into position to score this week. As for the rough, well, there is none!! It was restored in 2011 to bring back Ross' original design. No rough with sandy vegetation outlines the fairways now.
Defending Champ is Justin Rose

Love the course setup for this year's Open-it's not the same old thing. Playing these to win: Kaymer(35-1), Stenson(30-1), Schwartzel(50-1), and "Golden Hands" Dubuisson(80-1). Should be a great tourney to watch!

The All Euro Team I see!! Not bad, they all have a realistic chance at winning!
I agree with the course being different. Good to change it up a bit.
Good luck Boss

I think the course should suit the Euros more than the typical US Open set up does. Have heard many of the players liken it to an inland links layout. Creativity and the ability to scramble for pars will be of the utmost importance this week. To me there is no clear favorite and the Open(especially without TW) has often produced a longshot winner. Should be a great four days(or more) of golf. Good luck to you as well AJ!
