After the worst week in my sorry azz golf gambling "career"...I look forward to the Masters. My favorite of all the Majors and historically (fingers crossed) I do well this week.

Not much to research as I'm looking for a vet to do well this week. I do not think a first timer will win. Although we might have a first timer in the mix on Sunday, I don't see him finishing it off. Too many nerves on a Sunday back 9 at Augusta to overcome.

I like Dustin for sure. Don't let the WD from last week fool you. He's 2nd in distance, 3rd in GIR's, 19th SGP, 5th in scoring average, 1st in the all around and a stat which I think is important this week is Par 4 Performance....which he sits a nice 6th. He has the distance, the touch and a nice high ball flight which is a plus.

Also like Scott, Rose, Day, Sergio and always a Sunday fixture...Cabrera!!

Tournament matchup leans coming up. Lengthy list, but I have all week to widdle it down.

Please feel free to comment...injuries, rumors, driving range talk, etc....

the more insight, the better....I need all the help I can get.

Would not be betting against Day at the Masters, i personally think Aussie are a chance of going back to back, he is always in the mix there.

Like Fowler Top 20 as a nice price bet, playing well last week always helps and if can make some putts look out for him sunday, his ball striking has come a long way since the swing changes

thoughts on 1st round leader coming from the early group?? Course should be soft Thursday morning and someone could take advantage of that....

Stadler, Yang, Boo, Senden, Stallings, Horschel to name a few...

Lotsa action on Cabrera . Normally a good play @ Augusta but he hasn't played for a while , delayed required shoulder surgery until next week just so he could play (make an appearance ) . just a tidbit .

Ya, I heard that too. He's another guy, along with Phil, that knows how to "play" at Augusta. They could both miss 10 cuts before this week and I wouldn't bet against them.

The way the course is looking faders of the ball are going to have their work cut out for them and you have to spin it with almost every shot into the greens regardless anyway

I think if being fast will play into experience and age. Guys like Cabrerra, even if hurt, it shortens the corse for him, couples, mickelson who has experience...

I can see bombers hitting it too far with a roll, or spin into the water not taking course into account. Early Thursday guys will get knocked out early...

I am going to add some of the more experinced guys, just to cover... I think the two guys I would really like to see win it are ELS or couples...

Long putters: A player using a long putter has won four of the last nine major championships, the last coming by Adam Scott at last year’s Masters. Adam Scott, Keegan Bradley, Tim Clark, Webb Simpson, Fred Couples, Kevin Stadler and Vijay Singh are among those who have used a long putter in recent tournament play.

Since 1985, only one eventual winner (Trevor Immelman, 2008) did not break par in the first round.

Defending champion Adam Scott is the only golfer to finish in the top 10 of the last three Masters.

Harris English has shot 28 rounds in the 60s this season, the most in the field.

Ernie Els, Jimmy Walker and Victor Dubuisson are the only three golfers in the field who have hit less than 50 percent of fairways this season.
