I didn't really think the Niners would be favored but I guess it is a pickem with the -3 for home field. If Coach Sing can get this win, he'll have the job for sure. I like the Niners playing for pride this weekend!

singeltary will like to put his stamp on this team as a defensive oriented/run heavy team. i see him leaning heavily on gore this week, and as usual, the skins will rely heavily on portis. the skins have gone over just twice in 15 games this year (7 straight unders) while the 49ers have gone under in 4 straight. both teams try to fast forward the clock to 2009 and forget about this season with heavy ground games.

Wait a second guys, let's think this game through - this game will have a huge outlook on the playoffs and possibly potentially who represents the NFC in the Superbowl............. Oh wait, this is 1983, right????

For a team that relys so much on Gore (as a %ge of total plays), his effectiveness is ??, even if he suits. Looks to me like a Singletary premium built into the spread. I will take 3.5 with Skins.

Nice info on Gore. It would be sweet to see the U in the backfield for both teams but it looks like Portis might steal the show. This Defense will give Hill a hard Time. STL handled SF until the last 5 min in the 4ht. If Wash gets a lead on SF they could easily run away with it.

I do remember those Sonny Jurgenson vs John Brodie games, I used to watch those on the black & white TV set. This game certainly won't match the intensity of the match-up back then, but you still can make money on it. TAKE THE UP AND COMING NINERS.
