you are correct...too many things happening here for the seahawks laying down.also they want to keep their good playing streak alive and well for the post season...they dont want to do anything to let their playoff season be decided by others.....

This is a  divisional game not the eastern div. NY Giants,most Div teams are played pretty close.That Giants  game does not matter,the reason why Vegas hiked the spread is because dudes that dont put the work in ,will rely on the last game a team played..All you have to do is look at covers history of divisional teams vs each OTHER!!  Don't put your faith in a team that got blown out by a non-divisional team,only put faith in div teams vs that played  other,it gives you up to tens????DUH!!

The reason dudes do not win,is because they fall into that trap,think about it.How many times you have lost because you played a team because what they have done the last game especially vs a non-Divisional games.Rams get blown out by Eastern Division Giants and they say"oh sh-t Seattle -14,because Rams lost big to the lowly Giants so Seattle should spanked that a-s,NOT!! RAMS+14,HISTORY TELLS ME THAT ITS GONNA BE  a fairly close game  tiil 4th quarter and Seattle wins by 10 or 7,hell the point spread drop from 14 to 11.

 Another reason dudes do not win is because they fail to consider the situation & the match up. A divisional game will usually be closer than a non-divisional game........unless the fate of the teams has pretty much been decided.
 Betting one way or the other based on the line movement is just saying you value others opinions more than your own.
