After watching the 49ers last week against the Cardinals, I think they will definitely cover this week against a beat up Rams team. I always hate to bet on my team, but they should win by a TD or more!

After getting blasted last week, there is a very good chance that the Rams could play better football against a division rival. A 3 way tie for 2nd place with 2-7 records in the NFC West. Both the niners and the rams will be playing better than they have played all season. Both teams have interim coaches that want the job next season, and the players on both teams have played better with their new coaches (except last week against the Jets) . I can see a 3 point game or less either way here.

I love Singletary - He ain't gonna get showed-up at home - take the Niners, just on pride alone - that last game against the Cards came down to basically a decision - on the road??????????.......

I don't doubt that SF will win, but I would be very nervous taking SF -6.5.  I'm thinking St. Louis to cover.  St. Louis is iffy.  They play good one day and play horrible the next.  This might be the game for St. Louis to get back on track.  Remember, this isn't the same St. Louis team that started the season badly.  They have a new coach.

Steven Jackson will not play he didn't even get on the plane. Instead Antonio Pittmann will start at at HB for the Rams

St. Louis has done well only when Jackson has been there in the last two seasons.  Jackson is the key, but he ain't even flying out with the team.  St. Louis will not due much at all against San Fran.  On the other side of the ball, with Singletary making the occasional guffaws, the questions surrounding the quarterback, and a shoddy line, I don't like taking San Fran either.  So I'm going with a low scoring game.  Under.  Just a few ATS to check out:
  • Under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings.
  • Under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in San Francisco.
  • Under is 8-2 in Rams last 10 games on grass.
  • Under is 16-7 in Rams last 23 road games.
Take the under on these two not very good teams.  Good Luck All!

I haven't bet on the Niners in at least three years, but I might have to take them here.  They showed some fire coming off the bye last Monday in AZ, plus the Rams without Steven Jackson are bunk.

The Rams are a good play here plus the points, they are a better team than the 47-3 ass-kicking they received from the jets and will be able to bounce back on the road against a 49ers team that is undoubtedly beat up after the hard-fought Monday night game against Arizona.
