Currently there are questions regarding the status of the Niners Gore and Crabtree. Combine that with the problems caused by the lock-out and the Niners new head coach is pressed for time to get his new team ready for this 2011 home/season opener. At the start of last season, the Niners got embarrassed at Seattle which started the clock on coach Singeltary's final season in SF.

One thing SF has going for it is that they are home in this one. The Seahawks are sporting a new QB-WR combo from Minnesota... No, not Favre... rather T.Jackson and Sidney Rice. This combo is the Hawks best chance for an aerial attack which is thier best chance at beating the Niners. SF can stuff the run well enough.

The Niners biggest problem will be avoiding mistakes so I expect alot of rush attempts from them. The team able to field the best defense should come out on top. I feel that will be SF in this one and don't forget... being in SF is a hugh plus for the new SF head coach.

My guesstimate is San Francisco-19 Seattle-13

I agree with u scooby. 49ers are prob 1 of the teams hit hardest by the lockout. New coach, good talent, but they need 2 learn how to play winning football. hopefully Harbaugh can get that done in time for the opener. SF should win this by 3-7pts.

Braylon Edwards was a nice addition to this team who really don't have a lot of veteran leadership in the receiving core , still they are a run first team I think Frank Gore has a monster year ahead of him barring injury , and there are some question marks on this team but i get the feeling they surprise a lot of doubters the rams seem to be the consensus to win the division but i am not certain they will ...Jim Harbaugh has the makings of  a very good coach in this league something that was sorely lacking with the coaching the last 2 years ..with no pressure on this team like the'yre was last year they will breathe a little easier they are not the most talented flashy team to watch but really is anyone else in this division?? I think they win here against the seahawks and have something to prove to the doubters.

this game is a classic its always close and sn fran usually comes up short..like baltimore and pitt in fact taken all the birds...
