Bal win this one in a very close game!!

Here we go again.. anothrr Thurs day night meeting between these rivals. Last season on Thanksgiving I took the Ravens at -2.5 at home expecting the Ravens to pull out a 3 pt victory then what happened? A weird combination of Raven FGs and Big Ben's late 3 TD comeback spoiled the cover. I think it was a first that a game in this series was decided by 2 pts. 

Division rivalry, but no way Ravens drop 2 in a row at home. Steelers looked confused last week, and this was against "Johnny Foot....", oh, um, I mean, some guy..........

Ravens cover, they don't look back, and "pretend" their Superstar RB didn't punch some chick in an elevator in Jersey. I mean, c'mon, they got a statue out front of some guy who, ahem, "may or may not have" killed a guy, so what's a little domestic violence.............

Steelers have won the ATS trend the last couple years and Ravens won a couple years before that, but you have to think at some point the trend will reverse again

Ravens haven't lost back to back home games in a long time since Billick's final year. this is a new situation for Harbaugh but the pressure isn't. The Steelers seem to bring the best out of the Ravens. Getting Ladarius Webb back will help them.

The O/U is unusually a little high though why is it 44 1/2?

I always love betting this matchup and I always take the underdog which is usually 3 points and buy the line up to 3.5.

 

I usually end up winning most of them, at least it seems that way.

 

in this scenario I love the Pitt running game with bell/blount tandem.

 

on the other side of the ball I dont think the ravens will be able to run the ball.

there is maybe 5 or 6 occasions in this rivalry where both teams scored more than 44 pts. it's uncommon. Thursday games are usually low scoring affairs especially when these teams identity are there "defense". ok maybe they didn't have that last week, but since they both play the same style of ball it makes things even. looks like both teams will employ the hurry up offense, maybe that's why the total is a little higher than it usually is.

I think Steelers blew their wad offensively against the Browns. no way I see them scoring 27-30 pts tomorrow and the Ravens will have their moments offensively. I see this being a 23-20 type game. The red zone defenses will be on point.

Baltimore wins in a close one and it'll be a 3 way tie in the AFC North. that'll be a nice prediction...

Coupled with Steelers 2nd half swoon + Ravens 2nd half bounce back and with the Ravens season somewhat on the line vs their biggest rival, you could not find a better spot for the Ravens here.

If not for ten dropped passes and some really idiot plays by flacco the ravens would have disposed of a much better bengal team. This steeler defense is bad, real bad. The distractions and the lack of prep time worry me alot not gonna lie, but i think the ravens are the better team here, and a short spread in baltimore where they usually are good is ok with me. ravens -2.5

You got to figure that this week is full of distractions for Balty. Sometime when a team has a player that goes through tough times or public embarrassment they come together and play their best but I think this has the opposite effect as this is not a "rally for Ray" moment. Look for Balty to look out of sorts and steelers will capitalize
