Unless this is a damn monsoon the weather will not slow down the offenses but help them out. No footing for d-lineman and harder for the CB to follow WR cuts. In the 40's with little wind and some rain- I'll take the over!

Younger quicker defense has the advantage.

I used BetED and the O/U is currently at 40.5...I am about to but it down to 39.5 and take the OVER. I agree with Mannix that the rain will not stop these teams from scoring. I was borderline on the UNDER play but I see both these teams scoring a couple TDs and a couple FG's...and one team...hopefully the JETS capitalizing on a DEF TD. I have been a big supporter of Matt Cassel and have bet the PATS 3 times this year winning all three times...I just think this will be one of the tougher games for him to perform because the JETS will take away the run...and his 5-9 yard passes will not be so efficient tonight.

Anyway, GL everyone...sorry for the BS...

I'm liking the under here. The Patriots defense has been clicking like years past and the weather will be a factor for the offense. It is raining there now and is supposed to continue. They do play on Field Turf so the field won't turn into a total mess, but the ball's gonna be slippery and cold. The Jets are hoping for a win, not expecting one and if I had to pick a side it would surely be Bellicheck's. Just my two cents, but here's my play.

despite the jets playing their best ball of the season and the pats running with cassel and without harrison or their top 5 running backs, i still thought that fading the public on them was the play and have tried very hard to convince myself of that, but no adelius thomas?!? wow... i just think the pats are losing too much talent... he's the utility defender that glues a defense together imho (just like he did in baltimore) ... i just think they're under manned and with the NYJ having revenge on the mind, i think the books are just happy to have gotten 40% of public money on new england... vegas doesn't win every game (even though i'd still feel more comfortable fading the public), the line has gone down by a point in two incremental movements... it's been two+ years since the jets have beaten the patriots and in many ways, that's why favre is here... gotta pull the trigger on the jets... small ML play because i feel better about risking less money on +135 returns.

I like the Jets tonight. These teams have the same record, but the Jets have been beating teams by a touchdown while the Pats beat people by a field goal. The injuries will finally catch up the Pats tonight. Looks like the Jets are starting gel, even though they had a poor showing against the Raiders a couple of weeks ago. They are calling for nasty weather and I think this one could come down to a field goal.

I disagree... Home Field advantage doesn't matter much with these two....

they are familiar with those stadiums....

last time Jets beat them was in NE....

The evidence that he predicted San Fran to put up 38 on AZ and it didnt happen? If my math is right, they were a couple TD's shy of of 38 and that kick off really helped their cover...thats one of those variables that are hard to handicap. Thanks!

Jets vs. Patriots -3.5 +110 (2 units to win 2.2) - well it was either take the Patriots -3.5 for +110 juice, or -3 for -120 juice on a different book. I bet we all would've chosen the same thing, unless some of you kids out there like praying for a push. Looks like it'll be a rainy night in Foxborough so I'd expect the ground games to be featured here, but also a bunch of TOs. Lately both teams are pretty good at stopping the run, and both have a defense that has stepped up in general. Maybe it's because they haven't faced any tough offenses in awhile, its been 6 weeks since the Jets played a team who can consistently score. Now I'm not saying with Cassel under center that the Patriots can consistently score, but they will at least be more physical at the line and have a great possession game. While I hate New England I think they'll find a way to win by 7-9 points tonight.
