Fair enough buddy. I was told about this site at work from a couple buddies and decided join after the great stats and right ups on this site and.....from the 1st thread i ever posted on here ,I see nothing but people bashing each other on here about who's been winning more and who's better at capping, etc., etc. You think on a Jets/Pats people would be posting stats about the game and sharing opinions rather than attacking each other. Lets help each other out on here. Thats all I'm saying

Belichick displays incredible perserverence in adverse weather conditions on both sides of the ball, In other words, he never puts his team in a position to lose a game in rough weather, especailly at home. Im guessin two picks from farve tonite, BOL to all!!!

I am way up, so I am just looking for the riskier play, and -3.5 seems like that.
True.... BUT..... Jets beat the Pats in Foxborough 2 years ago in bad weather.... Bad weather suits the JETS more than the Pats in my opinion.... that game was with Chad Pennington and Tom Brady....

Let's cool it with the bashing of other posters. This crap happens way too often and makes this site worthless to those who only care about 2 things -- football and gambling. (Ok, make it 3 -- football, gambling, and sex based on the avatars.)
I don't know Fpronk at all but it seems like he makes some damn good picks --especially in the NFL. For him to post his NFL record and you to bash him on college picks makes you look like a joke. Even if his picks suck -- who cares? You learn from that too -- IF you are smart.
I've been on here for years along with a handful of others and cannot count the # of posters who come and go -- the idiots because they have nothing to say and then lose all their money, as well as the good ones who simply cannot deal with immature egos. This site is not for anyone to bloat their own ego or choke anyone else's.

Back to the game -- I'm still sitting this one out, as it really is a pickem game. On paper I think Jets +3.5 is the pick. (And why go moneyline? This is no slam dunk to pick the Jets. You Jet fans, don't be so greedy.) Especially since the Pats hold the edge with FG kickers. Gostkowski has been money, while Nugent has a thigh injury.
Weather will be dank and moist -- under would be my lean, and first game between these two went for 29 pts. Game before that went to 30.
Pats secondary is held together with bailing wire and duct tape. Seriously I don't know how they have survived this far. One reason is they have not had a very tough schedule. Indy in a down year, NFC west, etc.
BigDaddy too bad we blew it on the under last night. Oh well, at least it wasn't a ball-squeezer. Not even close. Hope you are feeling better these days.

Fpronk your a t shirt of the week at best, i mean ive looked at your picks and they are garbage, matter of fact i got to call to have a dumpter dropped off at your house cause you got so much garbage. As for the san fran game, scoring via a kick return is meaningless, or not as credible as scoring in any other fashion? Now you want to make excuses about how they scored? You need to quit the picking of games business and open up an internet business selling excuses to people, that way you will make some money. I only pointed out your post in the game and said i have been fading you, you got mad obviously cause you keep losing your $21.00 parlays and i struck a nerve. I have been on fire lately thanks for the props although I dont need em from you. I got 10 units Pats "if" over. Better take that to the bank cause if you dont your gonna be on the losing end again tonight.

Isn't one of the KEY fators in this game going to be the RAIN, their calling for a 70% chance of it.
What happens when you play a game in shitty weather, it becomes harder to throw the ball and hook up with your receivers. This will force both teams to count on their running game more and it might just be my opinion but I would feel a lot safer putting my money on the Jets running game with Jones than some rookie.
I will wait until game time to get a better grip on the rain situation but right now I'm leaning Jets with Favre and Jones.

I don't bet parlays, parlays are for losers like you to play and if you knew anything about betting you would know that teaser and parlays are for rooks.
It doesn't matter to anyone how many units you play...a unit is irrelevant because your unit it is probably 1$ each. So you telling me or anyone else you bet 10 units or 1 unit is pointless. Regardless of what amount anyone bets is also irrelevant and if you were a seasoned gambler you would know that...but then again keep showing that you're a rookie.

And why do people think past matchups are irrelevant?
I don't understand the logic in that.... obviously there are personel and coaching changes, but the teams main scheme is consistant... the Jets had the same coach and same offensive coordinator when they beat the pats in foxborough 2 years ago in the snow.... last year they played twice in mild conditions and Pats swept (with brady).... now they are playing in bad weather in foxborough after losing the first matchup, doesn't that sound familiar?
and the last matchup is a huge indicator of how the teams matchup.... ex. Pats are down Harrisson... thats a difference in the JETS favor.... Down Thomas, difference in the JETS favor... Cassel is playing better than he did that game, PATS favor....
Also, if the JETS get to the goalline, do you think they will try to run it in every time again?

I layed the wood pile on the under for this game last night when i saw 90% rain at kickoff (1st half and game) but am now concerned that the rain looks to be coming a few hours earlier than expected.....maybe that'll be a good thing for the first half but slippery conditions could have dbs falling down for big plays in the second half....hhhhmmm!...glta

The Pats are better coached - that's why the covered in Round 1 of this matchup this year.
The Jets want payback, and they want 1st place in the AFC East.
The only problem is that the Pats are winners, and will remain so. I am actually a Jets fan, for whatever that is worth.
So, the bottom line is the Pats will win tonite by a TD.

Pats are banged up.... 3.5 is a good amount of points... if the Pats win ,it will be by a small margin... maybe 4 points... like a scenerio that makes sense to me would be the pats up by 4 and the JETS trying to drive late in the game but they need a TD and not a FG... but 7!!!!!! your crazy.... but like you said we are all crazy gamblers in here....
I think the short week is in the JETS favor because CASSELL needs a full week of preparation.... though the PATS are coached better, the JETS have more playmakers in the contest, and there is not question about that.....
Farve can improvise better I feel and doesn't need a laid-out-gameplan as much as Cassell
