Awhile ago I noticed my use of teasers grew whenever I would have an off week or start to lose confidence. Dolphins vs. Steelers -15.5 (2 units) - basically a gut feeling here, I know the Steelers haven't played particularly well over the past 2 weeks but they have waken up from their high after the Jets loss. The Dolphins are still searching for their first win, and you never know what you're gonna get from a winless team who is very hungry. A bit of locker room material for Mike Tomlin this week... Emmitt Smith stated that the Steelers are "frauds." Now I know Emmitt's opinion probably doesn't mean much for this matchup but they'll use it to their advantage. Been raining pretty heavily here all day, and the grass will be soggy. Some HS playoff games were played at Heinz field Friday, Pitt played at home Saturday, but then they replaced some sod yesterday. The field should still be crappy so watch out for a game of fumblitis.

I am not one to disrespect anyone on this thread but... 24 was nothing when it was new england giving to PHILLY. but 16 is too much to give to MIAMI??? Really not understanding your thoughts here.... Miami has admitted to being a program "under construction" and they got this nobody quarterback that's second to Trent Green?
I may be just guessing here but Pitts at home is a great bet against a rebuilding miami...

It's Monday night. Take the over as usual. The Dol[hins have been 15.5 point dogs only once going all the way back to prior to the 2004 season. That would be the game against the Pats earlier this year. the Pats are just what they are, and the Dolphins are just what they are.
Miami is sorry as hell, and Pittsburgh has underperormed recently. This game has 4 yards and a cloud of dust written all over it. The Steelers rush the ball well, the Dolphins are horrible against the run.

I am well aware of why bookies love teasers...I just decided to play it safer since I wasn't sure the favorite could cover by that much...mainly I do it for the over/under to get it to a more reasonable number. Tonight is a game between a great running team (Pittsburgh) and a horrible run defense (Miami). Miami is even more hurting than they have been somehow as I believe they are down to their 7th string practice squad junior varsity running back. It's going to be rainy and crappy allll night in Pittsburgh, so throwing the ball will not be much of an option, not that it really was with these two teams. Since I obviously have not learned my lesson on Monday night teasers...I am going to TEASE Pittsburgh down to -6 ( if they lose this game or if they allow Miami to keep it within a touchdown, they just are not as good as everyone is saying ) and take the UNDER 49.5 (rainy weather on Monday night just doesn't bode well for scoring, especially with a lame duck offense in Miami)

The Steelers are missing there qb on def and there off line is not the same as in past years. With the weather and field conditions the way they are it will be hard for either team to score. Vin nice research on the past home games but they had polomolau and holmes in those games they don't tonite. I think Pitt wins but does not cover.

Dudes...........our field is the WORST in the NFL........Friday and Saturday there where about 3 highschool playoff games and a home Pitt Panthers game.......I guess they started rippin' up all the turf right after the Pitt game ended and puttin' down new turf........they've done this in the past when the fields bin murdered by this kinda overuse and it never works out well......I can't imagine the constant rain thats goin' on right now is helpin with that at all.........i think wur lookin' at a muddy mess with a cupla missed fieldgoals (Heinz is also 1a the hardest places ta kick field goals in the NFL) final score sumwhere roun' 20-10 Steelers.....I'm loadin' up on the under (20) at the half....5 unit play
