Houston is a very underated team........and Denver a very overated one......especially on the road.

I don't think Denver can be over-rated... the general consensus is they are not a good team. However, Houston is not a good team either. But to look at the past 5 games for each team I just feel that Denver is putting up consistent scoring and shouldn't stop at Houston. Even if Sage is an average NFL quaterback like Schaub, they will be pretty one dimensional and it's not very hard to stop a team when you know 90% of the time what they're doing.

By picking Denver I'm not saying they are a great team and would even have Houston's number on a regular basis. I just feel the way the cards lay tonight Denver has the upper hand. So like I posted earlier I have Denver +.5 first half and Over 24 for the game.

I can understand what you are talking about bigdaddyhpd. When you're a home run hitter people boo you when you strike out. I've been catching hell since i burned up the threads with my famous playoff run last year in the NBA.
 
And even though i am killing the bookies more than Steve Merrill, Bryan Leonard, Stephen Nover, and company in NBA games, I take tremendous heat on the ones that I lose only. My players had a bad night last night like I did when my teams underperformed, and you would have thought that i was O.J. SImpson or somethin'. I saved a multitude from betting with the Celtics last night, and gave the Pistons first half with no money of my own on either game, and did not see one thank you in return.
 
I feel your pain. Not enough respect around here for the real wagerers. the ones who do the research. I've been hitting at a clip of 65-70% everynight in the NBA(except last night, and one night two weeks ago) and I catch hell only for the ones I miss on. That's why dencol got the shout out.
 
OG's like you i respect and follow. Hope everything's fine in spite of the storm. Hope also that your overdue vacation went fine too. I wish you good health and wealth but uh....

I've taken to liking 1st halves in football because of your offerings. One time when I was in Reno i had had a so-so day, Then I read the read on my wife's laptop, and you were saying to take a team in the first half, and you were doing it big.
 
I must have thrown on my pants and gotten back downstairs in three minutes flat, and won 5 units from your pick. Needless to say the night went good after that. I even won at the craps taking all the hards and playing the 6 and the 8 and the pass line. I turned that money you got for me into quite a large haul.

Ummmm  Houston is not the favorite?  The Public is all of Denver-which is actually the favorite.  Houston is also in the AFC South!  A better division than Denvers....

I like your reasoning except #3. Both Denver and Houston are AFC.

Ok let me clarify 1)  The line has chanced since this was posted an unbelievable shift from Houston -1 to Denver -2.5 has occurred.  Take Denver  2)  They are no longer the Dog 3)  Denver beat an AFC South Team last week KC, Houston beat Tampa Bay NFC South team with a beat up QB, Which has more worth? 4)Need I say More  5)Ok it would be crazy for Denver to beat the shit out of the Texans at home but will happen 6&7)  Need I say more??

This is a very good post about your hard work that you put into giving us the solid picks.  I am very new to this site and ever since I have been reading your post, you are right on it.  You have made me,  "Average Joe" some money in the past month that I have been on this site my braddah.  That is how I am going to the Sugar Bowl to watch the Hawaii Warriors play.  I think because I play alot of First half wagers, my local lines have been moving the half time lines up half a point to a point.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart and keep doing what you do.

I travel the circuit playing Texas Hold'em, not an expert in Handicapping but I am a Professional Gambler by trade.  I do watch and observe football as a form of religion.  Denver Broncos will beat the Texans so Bank on it....  I want you to look back and say Damn that Optimist guy is true.  Watch and learn.

Glad you made a profit in Reno my friend. My vacation actually cost me a good 5 digits in X-mas shopping among other things.

One thing though my friend I have been called a legend on here many times by others but I always give them same response that I will give you......

 I'm very far from even being close to being a legend and it's great posters like yourself and others on the thread that bring out good info that I can use to my advantage that makes me "seem" like a good capper. So the props goes to everyone on Covers

Oh, One more little thing look at BO DOG they seem to have some kind of vision in predicting the winners therfore they skew the vigorious in hopes of manipulating people to take the other side.

Denver all day long!!! Darius Walker( reminds me of Julius Jones from the cowboys) was alright in college but this is the pro's, Dummerville and co. will eat his ass up. Sage played cinderealla man last game, this game he'll be introduced by to champ, bly and lynch. Cmon now. Cutler is playin his ass off now when the team is relying on him now more than anything. Champ will shut down johnson, then plenty of moolah is headed my way

is it just me or is the over a very good play in tonights game?  Has anyone seen the crazy Over trends for both teams going into this matchup?  I think 47 pts might be scored by the end of the 3rd quarter  Weather will not be a factor and both teams are putting up the numbers.  I am rolling with Big D's halftime bet as well as going  over 47

Figured Denver would go up to -2 and it did, hope everyone is taking Houston at this generous +2, it should be a close game.  Don't like the Over/Under, but here are my plays for tonight (all for 1 unit each):
*Denver    -1/2 1stH  
*Houston  +2 Game
*Prop Bet:  Defensive or Special Teams TD-Yes (+15)
Denver has those 2 notorious corners, Bly and Baily, and with Rosenfels as QB and a turnover ratio of -10 for Houston their is a good possibility of a pick 6.  Not to mention a red-hot Andre Davis returning kicks at an average of 26.6 yds/KR and Denver allowing a staggering 23.8 yds/KR on the road. 
*Broncos-Will they score a RUSHING TD in first Half-Yes (+110)
Ummm....Henry, Young, Hall, and Cutler.  Houston-23rd ranked rush D.
Only took the prop bets to make this one a little more interesting.
