Man, Seneca Wallace just plain SUCKS!!!!! How is this line only 1 point????

glad you asked... that's the first step in getting your share of book's money.  I thought the same thing when i saw this line... really?  only +1 off a victory against the defending champs.  This line reeks almost as much as chicago's home line last week, only this time it stinks because the victory over the steelers guarantees that the public will be on chicago in a just win scenario like a monkey on a hundred yards of grapevine. 

For those with short memories, seattle is a VERY reputedly tough place to play and the books know this.  Even last year, in such a horrendously down year for the hawks, they still went 2-2-1 as home dogs with the tie being a win if you bought it soon enough.  Prior to that, ONLY ONCE SINCE DECEMBER 8, 2002 have the seahawks even been given points at home.  that once was a home game against the chargers in 2007, a game that they lost SU, but covered ATS. 

Even with the public lining up for that free money that dddevin69 seems to think the books pass out, the books are holding that line still, undaunted by the public's chicago pounding at +1, thus far, refusing to give anyone the added security of a field goal's worth of buffer.

I know people are happy to sell on seneca, but let's not forget that he's had plenty of games under center over the last 2 years for seattle, with plenty of time with that offense (furthermore, hasselbeck hasn't been ruled out yet).  Also, how could we all forget the 4 picks cutler threw last time he went on the road, and with the bears history of quarterbacks and cutler's history of throwing picks, what makes people think he's just going to stop that because of one good game.

seattle lost to a very good 49er team last week in their only road game to point, and were it not for the books looking to capitalize on public perception, there's no way they'd be underdogs in this game at all. 

Admittedly, i will bet this game a little softer if it's seneca under center, but either way, my money's on the hawks as home dogs, because it just doesn't happen very often.

     This is the same ingrained instinct I have with my money when I try to make my hand place a bet on a Seneca Wallace led Seahawks. I just cannot force myself to do it..... I gotta go Cutler & Da Bears.....

i'm sorry, but seneca wallace far from sucks. he's thrown 11 TDs and 3 INTs while replacing Hasselback. the fact that everyone think CHI is the easy play, and the fact that the public loved the bears, while the line has not moved much at all, let's me know SEA is the play. however, i am from seattle and HATE seattle sports teams. i bet against them, or i don't bet on em. yet and still, at 37, haqt total is way too low. Seneca is gonna eat the Bears D up, and cutler will do the same to the Hawks D. look at your list of defensive injuries on both sides. this shit was basically handed to you, and you are gonna take he Bears?? or the Hawks??? Over 37 5u. best of fortune to us all!

So I'm not convinced, but I'm sittin' here thinking about how banged up the Seahawks, on both sides of the ball but mostly on defense, and about how easily teams have run the ball against them and I'm thinking Cutler isn't even going to have to make plays in this game.

Seneca Wallace . . . is fine. . . . his numbers are fine.  But he's not as good as Matt Hassellbeck.  We all know this.

I also just want to reiterate that Seattle club is like the walking wounded right now.

I'll probably sleep on it . . . . but . . . I think the Bears probably win this game and by as many as 10 points.

Chicago Bears @ Seattle Seahawks

Despite the Urlacher's big absence due to injury, Chicago still has an outstanding Defense and they prove it on their last game, being very agressive and they didn't allowed the Pittsburgh offense to do their work. QB Jay Cutler after a terrible season opener, managed to change his game and made a good performance on his last match, which is a good sign for the Chicago Offense, since their opponents' defense will now have to worry about him more than they thought before, thus opening the Bears' range of options, improving their Rushing Game with RB Matt Forte and benefiting also from the WR Devin Hester's speed.

The main factor that made me to side with Chicago, is the probable absence of Seahawks' Star QB Matt Hasselbeck, which is capable to miss this game, and in that case, things might be easier for the Bears. The Seattle's strong side is undoubtedly their Offense, but today the Seahawks will face one of the better and most agressive defenses in the NFL, and their Offense will have a lot of difficulties ahead in order to advance in the field. Seattle's D is very weak, mainly against the opponents' rushing game, they always suffer a lot of hardships, and knowing that Chicago has a good ground offense, the edge goes to the road favorite.

If QB Jay Cutler does an intelligent game like he did last week, and I believe he will do it again, the Bears will have good chances to win this game. I'm expecting to see good plays that will open extra holes on the Seahawks defense for RB Matt Forte to exploit and even some lab plays with WR Devin Hester, because these Seahawks are very feeble and the mismatches between them and the Bears gives the edge to the small favorite and I expect Chicago to win this match.
