Nice job on the teaser! Thanks for the props, that one definitely could have gone either way, but I've been lucky enough to go 3-0 in that series and still have my Utah series pick at +750 that GoG ridiculed me for. I don't see this one being so close tonight. I think SA's old bench men - Horry, Barry and Finley - shoot the 3's well tonight and NO packs it in for game 7 near the end once SA builds a decent lead, preventing the back door cover.

I'm waiting for MrBator.  Went against him in G4 of this series and it cost me.  In the meantime, I'm leaning Spurs -7.  Still not sure what Chandler's condition is (anyone?).  Spurs play better at home, although, are still prone to just eeking out a victory and not a complete blowout.  Ginobili was quoted as saying the team had a meltdown after the "T" on Pop, and instead of playing more aggressively they waited for the refs to bail them out on play after play (especially Duncan).  He said it won't happen this time.  I'm also leaning on the over.

chandler and west are hurting ,but that don't mean they can get shot up and play well tonight but who knows my friend, but i really like the spurs and i don't know if you bet hockey but i'm loveing the over in the flyers and pens game tonight which is at 5.5 right now and i think the flyers will win tonight because they are 9-1 at home against the pens at home and they are + 160 at home

Sorry.  I don't bet hockey - just NBA and CFB (and not as much as I used to of either at that).  I heard Chandler was ailing after G4, but haven''t heard much since.  I don't think it would be a huge blow to NO (like CP or West would be), but could change the flow for the Hornets a little on both sides of the ball.

I like the over as I think both teams have the propensity to score a lot of points (especially SA at home when their 3-pointers are falling).

Hey CM, been watching you posts your analysis and picks for awhile now and have made some good $$$.  However, I am still new at sports betting and would like to learn more from people with experience like yourself.  If you don't mind...can you share some pointers on analyzin the line and money movements to determine which team has a greater chance of covering the spread?  Thanks

I cannot decide what to do on this game. So excluding last night home teams had covered every spread but one being the DET/ORL game 4. Last night both road teams covered. Its my gut feeling that it is time to start fading the home teams in the second round. I really want to take NO +7.5 and the over 184 but I cannot bring myself to do it. so I am going to be a punk and tease this game. I know ppl say teasers are dummy bets and all that but that is bullshit, 8 pt teasers have been great to me this playoffs. I have gone 8-1 on teasers this playoffs.

I think that in the playoffs since there are so few games LVSC is dialed in with their spreads and this is a great way to offset their advantage

I know i'm stating the obvious here, but each team at home covered at least 10 points in their games.

I think it opened at 7 to lure people on the hornets, but really the spurs  probably win by 10 again, call me a trend follower, but it seems to be that way through most the playoffs ....

UNTIL yesterday when jazz and cavs covered....but i still think spurs take it to the hornets.

I think it will be similar to game 4 going in down at halftime, then coming out with excellent defense and making the open shots and expanding the lead to about 13 towards the later part of the 4th.

If the horny's are going to win though, they will have to do what they did in their win IN san antonio earlier this season.  That means attack and get up early, which they succeeded in doing in game 3 (though failing in game 4).  Similarly, the Spurs will be attacking too, trying to get the jump on NO, like they did in game 4.  I think that NO will cover the first half, but given the way things went down in games 3 and 4 (first half totals of 110 and 97 respectively), I think that the first half over may a safer play, as game 4 still went over with the horny's flat early.  I think that the over for the game is a good play too, but probably not as good as the first half over because if the spurs get ahead big, they'll slow the tempo and scoring will stop drastically.  Especially if chandler is out early, that lane will be begging to be driven in.

NO +4 1st half (smaller play)
1st half OVER 92.5
Spurs point total over 95.5 (this one hit in all 3 of the spurs home victorys over the horny's this year and point totals have been good plays in this series)
 
after my game 5 success with a double result play on SA 1st half and NO game, I'll probably play the same thing here as that stuff happens a lot in san antonio... also the fact that the return is +400 instead of +500 like it was in game 5 makes me think vegas is a little more scared of this one than they were of last one.

I thought about that two, but there are some key differences here...
-those were both game 5's... this is game 6...
-lakers played horribly sloppy, almost handing that game over and still almost covered
-Boston looked pretty garbage at times too, and made a bunch of dumb sloppy plays down the stretch to let cleveland get back into it.
-the spurs are defending champs and tend NOT to make stupid mistakes like those, especially being at home.
-spurs have their backs against the walls... its win or go home... cleveland and utah were playing for their chance to steal the one road game they will need to win this series.  I almost thought about playing the horny's for game in this one, but i can't shake they tit for tat blowout factor of this series as it is the spurs turn AND they are pretty much in desparation mode... that's why i'm sticking to the first half here.

I am leaing on the over (184) here with the way the Spurs have scored at home this series and I get the feeling that West has found his rhythm against Duncan couple that with the Hornets pushing the rock to try to close out the series the over seems nice to me. Good luck all . . .

When trailing a best-of-7 NBA playoff series 3-games-2, the San Antonio Spurs have a perfect 0-9 series record and a 3-6 Game 6 record. In the history of best-of-7 format NBA Quarterfinals series, teams (such as New Orleans) which win Games 1-2, lose Games 3-4, and win Game 5 irrespective of site have a perfect 19-0 series record.
