Most of you have convinced me, 9.5 is too much to lay.  I can see the line being inflated a couple points towards the lakers. 

If that is true then this prop bet looks pretty good:

I'm putting 5 units on lakers ML and one unit on the 7-9 prop bet.

Too funny, and then somehow his 10 units became $6,000 to explain how he would be up $1000 with this bet. I really think he got confused and thought he would WIN 6-1 instead of vice versa. Why else compare it to the Giants Superbowl wager which would have been a GREAT underdog ML bet vs this bet which is terrible payout to take a huge favorite. There is no comparison. This is someone who is making their picks but never really putting any money on it. He even said in his initial post as to why he would be all over this pick, "I really think the Lakers can win this game." No, really? Is that why they are almost a 10 point favorite? I've never been about bashing picks. I've had mine bashed before. GoG and BigTimeOTown have both been completely hostile to me, called me an idiot, asked to be my bookie, etc. etc. and I know it sucks, but come on. I guess if your bankroll is huge enough you can lay out huge cash for small payouts on what would be colossal upsets to beat you, but I don't see this being one of those situations. I really am not trying to bash you, I think you just made a mistake when you read this initial line thinking it was a 6-1 payout and don't want to admit it now. That's why all I was doing initially was asking how you thought you would make $1,000 on a 10 unit bet. I guess your units are measured at $600 each. By the way, I really hope the Lakers win, and I hope they win by 10 or more points, and if they don't, I'll live to play another day because it's only 4 units and I'm 1-1 in the series. A guy put it very well earlier in this thread that the best advice he ever got was to not want to win every game because that is never going to happen. There are no gimme's, which is why playing terrible payout odds on huge favorite ML picks will eventually bust you because you are looking for the guaranteed payout. For instance, let's say you lose your $6K tonight (which I really don't believe you are playing). How many 6-1 ML favorites do you have to play at $6K each to make up for that one big upset? Well, no need to pull out your calculators there kids, the answer is 6. So after risking 36K later and assuming no more big upsets, you are back to even. Don't be afraid to take a dog once in a while. It's fun, and they cover about half the time. It's how Vegas stays in business. GLA.

Oh boy, I could see it now, the referees & Kobe Bryant celebrating tonight, the referees are going to have Bryant jerseys underneath the stripes, did we forget but ummm, isn't Bryant MVP of the league, also isn't the wild wild west stronger than the East, not take away from the Celtics (Best record in league) just like every other game, the refs are going to help the Lakers win & cover, keep that spread high for game 4 so I could roll it back with the Celtics to at least cover, this whole gambling industry is based on Fluctuations, nothing is ever solid, just like the economy, ups & downs, Celtics are up 2-0 and covered the spread & here comes fluctuation time not its the Lakers turn, just for the simple fact that the Celtics won & were the underdogs, the Lakers show starring Phil Jackson & Kobe Bryant and surprise guest, the referees will restrict the Celtic defense tonight, just look at game 2 the free throw differential, the refs are the whodinis when it comes to the spread

I don't believe Teasers are "sucker bets". ... personal experience.... cavs and celtics game 7... spread was celtics -8.  in that game i teased both teams and took the cavs for the 8 and walked with a nice amount..... as for this game i see it going the the same as the two in boston, with celts playing stellar D and lakers STEPPING up on Defense. the celts should stay strong kepping up a slow pace then la shuld pull away with an eleven point victory as kobe gets to the stripe at the end.   thus winning my two team teaser and my money on the lakers -9 plus the under so in conclusion sucker bets are great bets MUAHHH

Gotta give you props on this post as well. Keep it plain and simple. Go with what works
