This one could go 7 guys. I watched the last game in Boston and yeah the C's wore the Hawks down eventually, but even in the third quarter the Hawks were still scrapping together a run and even had it close. There were plenty of times where it looked like the C's were having trouble getting around ATL's defense and there were plenty of times where it looked like ATL could cut the C's defense up. One of the biggest reasons it went for a C's victory is that ATL made a lot of mistakes and missed a lot of open looks, two things that they tend to correct with a little of that home cooking. These guys feed off the energy of the home crowd and home/road splits like these have been a staple of the hawks season: constantly underperforming on the road and overperforming at home.
They have a boatload of talent and athleticism and even had the ability to captilize on the C's defensive schemes in game 5. Boston's strategy was to constantly double up on joe johnson and then scramble around and make plays on D. In atlanta, the difference will be that those other role players on the hawks will make the open looks when johnson finds them off the double team. Josh Smith and Al Horford also will play miles better at home and the team as a whole will make a lot more shots a lot less mistakes and get frusterated a LOT less by the officiating. The C's could still pull this one out, but they sure as hell won't cover the number.
ATL +8 (BIG) ATL ML (small play) Over 189 ATL total points Ov (?)
this is probably the last time I will have to play on my meal ticket (ATL) and so I'm going big on this game and coming from a few different angles.
Yeehaa boy!! i got the ML too!!! right on were rich

The Hawks can beat anyone at home. Ask Kobe, KG, Howard, Iverson, Nash, and Noviski, and Boozer. What do all of these cats have in common???? They are all playoff teams that lost at Phillips arena this year.
Hawks ML.

Boston has no playoff experience. On paper the pundits that be practically gave Atlanta no chance. That why games are played. Will Boston win game 7? Yes. The good thing about this that they are gaining the know how on how games these go. Hats off to Atlanta, but they will lose game 7.

exactly... Boston is not Detroit... they lack the experience... Atlanta is not Philly... sure Philly played a bit better towards the end of the year, but that's off good coaching, a show runner in Andre Miller and good team play. The Hawks have much more talent, strength and athleticism, and Boston has sparked an unseen desire and determination that has brought this team together. This game will be intense and hard fought... some said that the whole C's jumping out to an early lead was proof as to how they can turn it on and steam roll the Hawks... I think that the way that the Hawks responded so quickly and established pace and grabbed the lead shows that they are able to compete... During the season, their biggest problem at home is that they'd start late and be forced to turn it on late, and they still had success beating all those teams that Kong mentioned. All I'm saying is that there is a HUGE homecourt advantage to playing in the garden, i'm sure noone would argue that. Just so there is a HUGE homecourt advantage to playing at the Phillips Arena, and for a young team like the Hawks, that homecourt advantage is the necessary ingredient in bringing their A game... that's why they won't get past the C's in the end, but that's why they will give them one hell of a ride... sorry guys, but I have to go with my gut and my experience this year but adrenaline and home/away intensity are not things that numbers can entirely quantify... If I lose here, I will not be bitter... if I don't play this and it hits, I will be kicking myself for the rest of the playoffs.
ATL half/game ATL total over 90 Over 188.5 1st half Over 95
(I know it's a lot of plays, but at least it gives me more than one thing to lean on and ALL of those have hit in the last 2 times they played there, so I'll take my chances on the hawks being underestimated again as they consistently have all season... A lot of people may know Boston really well, but few people outside of me and Kong that I've seen have made money off them being underestimated at home)
Nice call bro. I went the other way and got housed on Bos for the 1/2, Bos for the Game. I won the over. Very nice call.
