The only rights people have are to life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness..a right to action, not to rewards from other people.

It's not a right if it imposes an obligations on other people..,. all you are guaranteed under your Constitution is the chance to work for what you want—not to be given it without any effort on your part ...

 Today, some people believe because it exists and they want or need it ..they have a right to it with no action on your part.

This system prevailed when the right to vote was restricted. One would turn back to this system to prevent the invasion of socialism.

We have been threatened with this system since the franchise was made universal. The newly enfranchised majority has decided to formulate law on the same principle of legal plunder that was used by their predecessors when the vote was limited.

Thats a good one, your on this site complaining about unions and things like pensions, yet your own mother recieves a pension.  Why not tell her to give hers back?

Ironically ..Tom Barrett, a Democrat, lost the Nov. 2 Gubernatorial election to none other than .......... (drumb roll please) Scott Walker,.... The statewide organizations endorsed Barrett in that contest, while the local unions backed Walker.

No my point was you are on this site bashing people that collects public pensions, yet your very own Mother collects a public pension, which am sure she rightfully earned. Dont you find it kind of nuts for you to complain about other peoples pensions, yet your Mother recieves one.

Also why would have i chosen another post to disagree with you about when that post is the post that contained the info about your Mother getting a pension from being a public employee.  Maybe you shouldnt bash other people for getting a public pension when you have one of your own family members collecting one.

Personally i cheer your Mom for being able to work a hard job and collect a pension for her time on the job, something her own son doesnt seem to understand.

As far as this post, theres lots of things i agree with you on here. My whole point has been you cant blame the worker for all the problems happening in the country. Also they need to start with the companies first and then work there way down to the workers.

Fisrt thing every single state needs to do to address pensions, is stop the fucking padding of pensions, this is whats causing probably 90 percent of the shortfalls.  These systems were never designed to have people pay in one dollar, while taking out three dollars.  This loophole needs to be closed and closed now, not tomorrow. Politicians need to get off their asses and stop this. I believe just doing this one thing, will take the taxpayer off the hook for alot of the unfunded pensions. Am a pro union guy all the way, but no way should anybody make more in retirement then they did working.

Your right its time to start closing these overseas bases and bring the troops home. Only reason we are all over the place overseas, is to protect the friggin oil. Why dont these energy companies stop playing games and just release the real new technologies that can power everything without us having to use oil anymore.  At least thats my opinion.  I think their sitting on, until all the oil is gone, then they will say here you go, your new energy source.

Yup flat tax is the way to go.  Thye gotta close all these corporation loopholes, because they are not paying their fair share to running our country, like the rest of us are.  They get all the benefits without the expenses.
