Sure smells like more Chicago land corruption. You just know the Democratic apologists will come running to defend her, after all she is supposed to be the smarter of the two, and certainly more intelligent than she is attractive. Neither of which is really saying much. But she got disbarred for malfeasance which was most likely fraud, pretty much just par for the Obama course though. Spin away Lefties. Pull out the voluntary release of law license card or the discrimination card or the blah blah blah

MICHELLE OBAMA ON "COURT ORDERED INACTIVE STATUS"

First off, the biggest ass-kissing media refers to Michelle Obama as a 'distinguished attorney" despite the fact that Michelle Obama has been"inactive" since 1993. Click here: ARDC | Lawyer Search

ARDC - Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois

Click to enlarge image. Everyday another Obama skeleton comes careening out of the closet.

This ADRC is for discipline reasons...not for those volunteering to stop practicing. It is COURT ORDERED...not "Michelle Obama ordered." Their website is very clear about their function and why they step in. (see below)

If this was a Republican, the Democrooks would have her up on charges already.

Schmoo, an attorney, points out, "sounds more to me like she was drummed right out of the practice of law. I am just dying to know what she did... she ran to have a court ordered inactive status done...and then no malpractice report needed to be provided.

She wanted this to 'go away" fast and furious and the details not come out in depositions, courtroom documents, rulings for the client/plaintiffs...etc..

I would love to know what she did. I believe barack obummer himself was also disciplined--I know his law license is on "inactive" he lied about ever going by any other names when he applied for bar application. He also failed to state any prior drug use...(which he admitted in his books...and he had outstanding tickets that were never paid)."

Michelle Obama on court ordered inactive status with the Illinois State Attorney hat tip schmoopett

    huh?

Michelle Obama is on COURT ORDERED INACTIVE STATUS--order said since she has been placed INACTIVE that "no malpractice record required."

WHAT DID SHE DO THAT in 1993 -- AFTER only 4 YEARS -- HER LICENSE to PRACTICE LAW WAS REVIEWED AND PUT ON INACTIVE by a DISCIPLINARY AGENCY?

What Is the ARDC? (this is NOT the Illinois Bar-where one can voluntarily be inactive) As our name implies, the ARDC is the agency of the Supreme Court of Illinois which registers attorneys and investigates complaints of misconduct filed against attorneys holding a license to practice law in Illinois.

i don't know what michelle obama did or didn't do but people can be suspended from practicing for a variety of reasons (some bad, some not so bad) from failing to pay yearly dues to failing to respond to a bullshit allgation made to the bar by anyone to stealing money from clients or some other kind of fraud.  there are many possibilities here so it's hard to know how erious this is without knowing more details.

Haha.  I am registered with the ARDC so let me explain.  Active vs. inactive cannot possibly be court ordered.  It is a choice the attorney makes each year when registering.  If not engaged in the regular practice of law then you choose inactive status (still a member of the bar, but on inactive status because well, you are inactive).  I expect that around 1993 Michelle took employement where she wasn't actively practicing law and thus approrpriately registered herself as inactive.

Note that I would expect both of them to be removed from the bar within the next year or so.  Reason being that a couple years ago Illinois enacted mandatory CLE requirements.  It's probably not worth their time to meet those requirements so they will just allow themselves to be removed.

Always amazes me how people want to jump to conclusions regarding things they are completely clueless about.

And right on cue too. And with the voluntary release of license claim.
How predictable. Google the topic, do some reading, and try again.
It might help if you read the rest of the article as well, sycophants.

Seriously esplanade, this shit is old.  I can remember people talking about this well over a year ago.  All of the problems we are facing as a country right now and you want to rehash some old BS about Michelle?

Do you Republicans not understand that this is why you got totally trounced in both '06 and in '08?  People do not want to hear about these petty and divisive tit-for-tat rantings.  People want to see some progress on domestic issues, not divisive stalemate.

I just did some reading.  Further confirmed to me that any idiot with a keyboard can blog about something and when it involves the Obamas another couple thousand idiots will re-blog the same idiotic thing.  I keep seeing this whole "court-ordered" contention.  Uhhhhh, no.  First of all, the ARDC is not a court.  Kinda ruins the credibility right there.  Just because you read the same blog post expounded upon at a thousand different sites doesn't make it any more credible.

Michelle Obama left Sidley Austin in 1992 and took a job with a non-profit in 1993 that clearly was not in the natire of practicing law.  Thus, in 1993 she quit approrpiately voluntarily placed herself on inactive status and has been that way ever since.  If there was an ARD  complaint for which punishment was given, she would have either been censured, suspended or disbarred and that would be revealed in ARDC records, which are PUBLIC and reported in legal publications.  You'd fucking know it, you wouldn't have to make wild crazy speculation that makes no sense whatsoever.  Thousands of Illinois attorneys go on inactive status each year simply because they are not actively practicing, nothing more nothing less.

You're either full of crap, or a serial liar because active vs. inactive CAN BE COURT ORDERED as evidenced by the people that REALLY know in this blog...

Do you now understand what we're dealing with here! ....both of these people are arch criminals that up to this point  have successfully covered up both of their questionable pasts ( if not criminal pasts)  keeping it hidden and guarded  from the gullible public....m.obama was an unfit lawyer and was court ordered NOT to practive law in the state of illinois....B-HO is a drug user, a communist and a bi-sexual... he is also NOT an naturalized US citizen which makes him ineligible to take the oath of office and assume the Presidency of the United Stated of America...of course we know that this didn't matter either to him, or to the Democratic Party of America...all they saw was someone who was the right person at the right time...the minor detail of his ineligibility was poo-pooed...who cares about the Constitution, anyway...we've got enought lawyers to fight this for years and years, at least up until he finishes his first-term..by then we will have accomplished and instituted our socialist/communist agenda and there won't be anything anyone can do about it...

LOL. we'll just see about that.

It looks like esplanade is preparing for a SCRABBLE Tournament...."Sycophants"....that's a 20 pointer without any bonuses applied....

Yeah...on further consideration, depeche is probably ill-informed, even though he is registered with the ARDC.

The more likely explanation for the "court ordered inactive status" for Michelle is that she is married to a Kenyan-born Muslim who has close personal ties to Islamic Extremists throughout the World.....yup..that sounds more likely.

esplanade....during that upcoming SCRABBLE tournament, see if the judges will allow you to spell out "BAT_SHIT_CRAZY".....it fits this post.

What Michelle Obama's "court ordered inactive status" as a lawyer means

If you go to the website run by the Attorney Registration and Displinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois and search for the record belonging to Michelle Obama (link, earlier screengrab here), you'll find that her Illinois Registration Status is listed as "Voluntarily inactive and not authorized to practice law - Last Registered Year: 1993" and her Malpractice Insurance status is listed as "No malpractice report required as attorney is on court ordered inactive status" (bolding added).

The last bit has caused quite a stir, however a paralegal with Illinois ARDC has just clarified for me that this is not an indication of wrongdoing. Rather, prior to 2000, attorneys who wanted to become inactive had to seek the permission of the IL Supreme Court, and that's the court order being referred to. Since 2000, no such court order is necessary, but prior to 2000 it was. Further, I'm informed that if there were any sort of disciplinary action taken against her it would be listed on that page.

Note that in the record her maiden name is given (Michelle Lavaughn Robinson) and Barack Obama's record is here, including his full name. His status is listed as "Voluntarily inactive and not authorized to practice law - Last Registered Year: 2008".

While there doesn't seem to be anything to this story, don't worry: there's plenty more to discuss about Barry and Michelle.

Combative is an adjective that seems to  only apply to anyone opposed the leftists and their insanity in this forum.  Combative can't possibly apply to the people and party that wants to do the right thing and end waterboarding terrorists, replacing the practice with sugar-free cookies. YUMMY!!

     No way

    It's a losing battle.  It's fixed.

You might as well be pointing out that the sky is blue

Lawyer or not, she was great on Good Times. What would James (or for that matter jj) have done without that strong maternal influence? They, like so many others, rose above their circumstances and inspired us all. I for one loved Florida and am glad she is finally getting her day in the sun. That is all.
