Do you even read my post or do you think those innocents being wrongly executed throughout our history just are collateral damage?

Since where did I argue for criminal rights? That's exactly what I think the hypocrisy lies: some people want to own guns because of fear for gov. tyranny but at the same time would take a conviction by gov. as absoulte even there are numerous cases proving otherwise thru new technology.

Of course, we haven't even address how poorly the majority were represented. I don't like the criminals just like everyone else but turn a blind eye on those facts doesn't make that person a pro-life either.

Individual responsibility? Then you ought to agree storing the guns safely is every gun owner's responsibility as well.

So perhaps by your logic then because there have been innocent people put in jail and even executed maybe we should just quit putting people in jail or punishing them at in fear of punishing an innocent person?

Perhaps we can revamp the appeal process.

We should have a better record now than a few years ago due to DNA.

Perhaps we need to punish Prosecutors who wrongfully prosecuted an innocent person.

You can't deny that the liberal solution is to just pretend to whip these criminals with a wet noodle and hope that reforms them.

Surely you cant have it both ways.

You can't compare a fetus with an active heartbeat to a colostomy bag in one scenario and in another consider a fetus to be capable of being murdered.

You consider a fetus to be just another part of a woman's body and thus under the jurisdiction of the woman who houses the fetus. I don't.

I've seen posters on anatomy and even cadavers. A fetus is by no means just a part of every woman's body.

As a human, my rights end where another humans rights begin.

Don't intentionally twist my words. I've NEVER said we should quit putting people in jail just because there were cases of miscarriage of justice.Unfortunately, there's the steep price all societies have to pay.

The ONLY thing I said was in regard to the administration of the death penalty. I found it ironic a lot of so called pro-life people have no problem with putting others to death, knowing how flawed our justice system is and the decision is irreversiable. Hell, I WASN'T even argue about the merits of the death penalty.  Some people think there's good enough trade-off for them and so be it but they sure aren't pro life imo.

No, I don't think any responsible gun-owner would. However, post#25 in the thread made by Arent(sp?) sure shows they are not all like you and I and he wasn't the only one sharing the same view. I used to own a firearm and I don't want the gov to take my right if I ever decide to own another one again.

The key word is innocence. Pro life people can tell the difference between a fetus that has committed no crime and a murderer who has been proven as a detriment to society.

Why should we keep an individual alive on the taxpayers dime if that person shows no willingness to follow societies' most basic rules?

To compare fetuses to murderers is both foolish and not well thought out on your part.

you mischaracterize my position but i was jut trying to understand yours.  i think i do now.  i'm not sure i've heard it described that way before but maybe we can get into it more in the next abortion debate.

people dont give a garbage. they are just of no usefulness to their future selves, nor to society, so they stare at the tv for six c hours a day and the brainwash box tells them what to be mad about for a couple days, until the government can help fix their problems with new laws and regulations, just in time for a new season of  american idol.

if you viewed this incidence in conn. as a problem, than be rational about it.

you should support a ban of brick and mortar so called schools and instead ask to subsidize every child have a computer and internet so they can stay home and learn. no more teachers unions extorting the local tax base. no more expanding the facilites for tens of millions every other year. no more expensive utility bills to heat and cool and light these archaic institutions. and best of all, never again will there be a mass murder at a school. problem friggin solved. get a grip, get a clue. quit letting the television dictate your life. assualt weapons ban, what a bunch of simple simon motherfuckers this country has devolved intoi

Exactly, I was ONLY talking about the wrongly convicted/innocent and then put to death, those people!!  We are not even debating the merits of the death penatly and I EVEN went on to say there is difference in price people are willing to pay.

Sure, it makes us all feel better but It's indeed foolish to pretend there are no innocent people within the convicted murderers since it's been proven otherwise more than a few times.With this FACT in hand, I found how ironic for those who called themselves pro-life yet without any hestiation in putting someone to death.

 WHETHER THE PERSON IS FOR THE DEATH PENALTY OR NOT ISN'T EVEN THE POINT OF CONTENTION. If ANYTHING, I was comparing fetuse with the INNOCENT but wrongly convicted. Don't come back with the difference in numbers also because it shouldn't matter to a true pro-lifer. It's unbelievable how you just want to interpret the way you want without even bother....
