Terrorism is so 90's, we need to take a progressive view of all of this, like the blonde with the librarian glasses espouses, Harf I believe her name is, just happens to rhyme with barf.

We should bomb all Muslims and not let them into the country for 5/10 years. As if killing innocent people will bring down the number of terrorists.

Such an elementary understanding of the world it's embarrassing.

Obama: We really need to address the terrorists' grievances. ... those engaging in violent extremism have "legitimate grievances" that must be addressed.

"We the people" have legitimate grievances against you, that must be addressed,,Obama.

Detox - do you have trouble reading? Read it again and please repost. You're so deranged and brainwashed you can't even read a post and make a comment. (please tell me where I said to bomb ALL muslims)?

DJ - I'm surprised you can't interpret my statements, their identical to what you hear from the administration on a daily basis, you should have this kind of logic down cold by now.

The Obama administration is getting serious now, on to defeat the Islamic State ..

    They are turning to bloggers

The Obama administration is asking the Twitter-verse for ideas on how to fight terrorism.

On Friday afternoon, the official Twitter account of the State Department asked followers to “share solutions” for fighting “violent extremism.”

Your point of view is too childish to have a reasonable discussion. You don't comprehend anything that's going on. You say I'm brainwashed but in reality you're just spitting run of the mill propaganda. You're outraged when they burn someone to death and you're ignorant to the fact that the US has burnt more people to death than they ever will. What's going on in the Middle East isn't a republican/democrat issue. It's above that. It has to do with the petrodollar. It has to do with currencies. It has to with banking, corporations, natural resources and power. You don't know what you're talking about and your point of view is an embarrassment to my country.

Here's a tidbit from the 3rd quoted list of topics...

In the 1998 fatwa, Al Qaeda identified the Iraq sanctions as a reason to kill Americans:

despite the great devastation inflicted on the Iraqi people by the crusader-Zionist alliance, and despite the huge number of those killed, which has exceeded 1 million... despite all this, the Americans are once against trying to repeat the horrific massacres, as though they are not content with the protracted blockade imposed after the ferocious war or the fragmentation and devastation....On that basis, and in compliance with Allah's order, we issue the following fatwa to all Muslims: The ruling to kill the Americans and their allies—civilians and military—is an individual duty for every Muslim...

Obviously they have a math problem because I highly doubt 1 million Iraqi's were killed at any time by the U.S. or Israel. I do have side-question Detox. If Saudi Arabia invites us to Saudi Arabia and a terrorist group or whatever you wish to call them disagrees, does that give them the right to kill as many Americans (civilian or military) that they wish to? And do you see that as a reason to justify their actions and present day ISIS? Personally, who the fck are they to make any demands at all?

From what I've seen thus far, this is all b.s. that gets the moron Muslim to join a group and kill people. If we left the Middle East tomorrow do you really think this would stop?

The "1,000,000+ Iraqi's were killed" quote is referring to the sanctions imposed on Iraq before 2000. It's estimated that 500,000+ Iraqi children under the age of 5 died as a direct result of the sanctions.

    https://www.theguardian.com/theguardian/2000/mar/04/weekend7.weekend9

    Here's a decent article from 2000..

This is so twisted now I cant even keep up. but for as much as I can understand isis is a sunni faction fighting a shite faction and of course both sides hates us but it seems our ally now is iran who hates our ally isreal. Obama is now trying to ease sanctions equip Shiites allied with iran to defeat isis. isis is also fighting assad in Syria who we came with in a breadth of bombing until Russians moved and said they would take care of chemical weapons..... meanwhile Russia is now so involved in ukraines civil war they cant seem to even want to plausibly deny this crimeria is now part of Russia . I don't understand any of this cause isis somehow is defeating Iraq and Syria while  battleing russia the us iran suadi Arabia and turkey and most of the free world.

I understand war where do they get the weapons for this campaign. Russia wont sell iran wont sell Saudis wont sell china isn't selling nothing there for them to get back. only other weapons system  manufacturer out there is north korea. so if that's the link how can you logistically  get weapons from Korean peninsula to the hands of these terrorists. now we have Jordan to the south assad in Syria to the west turkey and Russia to the north iran to the east and Iraq fighting isis..... and our news somehow saying the terrorists have gotten more and more land in Iraq and Syria....

Does anyone have a way any of this propaganda is even real but the few beheading shown on tv.

So who's fault is it that the children are dying of starvation?

First of all it sounds like propaganda to me.

Second, adults should be including the children in what available food is present.

Third, sanctions will be removed if certain nuclear behaviors are abandoned.

The biggest question I have about the claim of 1,000,000+ Iraqi's & 500,000 children is why didn't the U.S. media report this? They absolutely love to show how the country is so bad on every level, it's racist, women hating, police hating, military hating media that can't fuel the flames enough. How did they not report this in mass? Was it because Clinton was president from 1993-2000?

The Guardian is an ancient reputable newspaper from what I can tell.

It doesn't add up to me. Weren't we to believe that sanctions wouldn't deny food or medical care? Of course I never seen a list of exactly what's being sanctioned.

Whatever is the truth here I just don't see it adding up to being responsible for a breeding a bunch of barbaric terrorists cutting off heads and burning people alive.

Because mainstream media is controlled by the powers that be and the powers that be don't want the US to look like the bad guy. Even though, in most cases, the US is the bad guy. The US government and military is used to forward the agenda of banks and corporations.

We cannot defeat ISIS by killing them.  They need job opportunities.

"Jihadi John" the front man for the Islamic State beheading videos has been ID'ed..he is a British man named Mohammed Emwazi.

He was born in Kuwait and comes from a prosperous family in London, where he grew up and graduated  from the University of Westminster in London with a computer programming degree. He had a job in Kuwait working for a computer programming company..

Jobs and poverty reduction will defeat ISIS...you have to kill them ...period.

    Wake up America..

Stupid argument.. What you're not comprehending is that the process of trying to "kill" ISIS will create more terrorists. Kill 2, create 4. We've been fighting terrorism for 12 years and there are more terrorists now than there were 12 years ago.

Why not back Assad in Syria and stop destabilizing the region?

No kidding. This isn't like Nazi Germany where all the soldiers wore uniforms and were centralized in their country and occupied countries.

I think we should err on the side of caution and treat them like a potential force, such as the Nazis.

I would rather be wrong that way then be wrong about not recognizing their threat to the world.

These barbarians are the ultimate cowards. If they believe they're so righteous why cover their faces, how can Allah identify them? As always when the U.S. troops show up they disappear and start planting IEDs because they know they'll get slaughtered like the pigs they are in a straight up war. They specialize on killing people that can't defend themselves. The funny part is they think they're such warriors, killing journalists and defenseless women is so courageous...

Bad math. Kill 2. At most create 2 more. Sooner or later they get the hint and won't create.  Or they run out of creations.
