According to British defense intelligence, Ukrainian forces have expelled numerous Russian attempted military advance on the Donbass line of control. Piece of encouraging news is welcome from West's perspective.

That was the reference point but in reality oil likely would not be higher than 80 without this issue so if they had not got this going they would be in a similar spot. But they are losing money on the value of the currency, their inability to trade and higher prices to get goods and services they need. Their stock market is closed and so those invested are in limbo, money transactions are frozen and the loss of life is also substantial.

shes right and shes got a valid reason to b very worried if putin isnt stopped in ukraine bcuz he uses the threat of nuclear war as leverage whats then to stop him from doing the same thing with the same nuclear threats when he moves to takeover moldova and estonia latvia and lithuania under the justification that he is liberating them and joining up with the enclave surrounding kalingrad ??

Trump made his pal Putin's life very hard as during his time in office, gasoline and oil were dirt cheap worldwide thus impacting Russia's bottomline. Oil products and natural gas are pretty much the only thing Russia has going for itself...now with Biden, the Russia economy is going full steam ahead. High fuel costs benefit Russia and the Russian Ruble is getting stronger every day...the huge markets of India and China are Putin's two biggest customers now...
