One thing is what you guys think over there I can’t comment on that - But Trump versus Biden internationally is night and day - There are no country apart from Russia that prefer Trump over Biden - and it isn’t even close - so if anyone has told you otherwise they are lying to you (the only president in my life time that has come remotely close to the hate Trump is having internationally is George Bush - but even there Trump is winning in unpopularity)

According to Reuters, OECD predicts that US economic growth should slow from 2.8% in 2024 to 1.6% in 2025 and 1.5% in 2026.  Meanwhile US manufacturers warn of upcoming crisis in supply chain disruptions because of Trump tariffs.

Global strategy group poll shows hispanics approval of Trump collapsing in the US.  Especially among independents and women.  Lower approval in his handling of US economy.  Calde13 is right.  Past polls in other countries show higher confidence that Biden would do the right thing. No surprise since Biden supports Ukraine more while Trump threatens dumb trade war against the world.

Wall street journal reports that U.S. auto makers are seeking to relocate parts manufacturing to China because of need for rare Earth materials in the production of electric vehicles. So instead of bringing manufacturing back to U.S., Trump tariffs could backfire.

I’m will to agree with Trump is negotiating for the best tariffs to equal the playing field for countries like China who have gamed the system for 25 years. EU is gaming the system since they formed the EU. EU was to bust everyone else down & strengthen their nations in the group. Why does Germany tariff US cars 25%, but we only tariff German autos for 2.5% for a long while.? But that being said it should have been done with more planning and tactics that allowed the business that have no choice but to import a opportunity to pivot, They were left standing naked in the cold.

But that being said it should have been done with more planning and tactics that allowed the business that have no choice but to import a opportunity to pivot, They were left standing naked in the cold.

I can see Musk pulling a Rope A Dope on President Spanky.

Musk recently alluded to the fact that the Epstein files have not been released because the Creep in Chief is prominently noted in documents.

Deadbeat Donnie suggests taking Musk's subsidies away to help reduce the budget.

This has the potential to get very very ugly,

    Who wuddah thunk it?

I don't hear trump denying it after Elon posted it.I know if someone called me a pedo, the argument would of just been getting started,I wouldn't go silent.Only if trump knows Elon has some dirt on him, would trump go silent.Think about it,if you are arguing with someone. If they say you are a pedo,do you go silent and just walk away.I don't f*ckin think so,unless you know you are guilty of it.

That is actually not correct - EU was designed to create a common market, foster peace, and improve economic coordination among its member states.

If you in an exam is ever asked why did Europe do what it did and the event is after WW2 - just answer trying to uphold peace between its member states - and you will be right 98% of the time

Preparing for a trade war with the EU is inherently difficult because much of what the U.S. imports from Europe — advanced machinery, pharmaceuticals, and industrial equipment — can't be easily stockpiled or replaced. These are critical goods needed for growth, innovation, and public well-being. Imposing tariffs on them doesn’t punish EU so much as it increases costs and slows down America's own ability to scale up production and compete globally. That’s a key reason why the EU isn’t comparable to China when it comes to trade friction — and why blanket tariffs are a short-sighted approach.

And we also internationally has some VERY big economical muscles and influence - that very few want to test thumbs_up

    Another one bites the dust

    New York CNN —

At Home, a popular home goods retailer with 260 stores across 40 US states, has filed for bankruptcy, citing the backdrop of tariff increases and a slowdown in consumer spending.

More good news and 'Too Late' Jerome is still not lowering rates.

    https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/anything-actually-gotten-more-expensive-090003116.html

Predictions from mainstream economists were dire after President Donald Trump launched his tariff campaign just a couple weeks after he began his second term in office: Prices would rise — sharply — they said, reigniting an inflation crisis that tens of millions of Americans had elected him to solve.

But that massive, tariff-induced inflation spike hasn’t materialized. Not even close.

Consumer prices rose just 2.4%, annually, last month, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That was less than economists had expected, and only slightly higher than the 2.3% rate in April, which was the US economy’s lowest inflation since February 2021. According to the Personal Consumption Expenditures price index most closely followed by the Federal Reserve, core inflation — which strips out volatile items like food and gas prices — fell to 2.5% in April. That was the lowest reading since March 2021.

That’s a far cry from what economists and consumers have predicted. Month after month, inflation has fallen short of Wall Street’s expectations, as American businesses said they would be forced to hike prices as a result of historically high tariffs.

America’s effective tariff rate is now 14.1%, according to Fitch Ratings, up from 2.3% last year. That means Trump raised taxes on imported goods by nearly 12 percentage points in 2025. Economists expected substantial inflation increases as a result.

Still, tariffs through mid-June haven’t caused inflation to spike. Love tariffs or hate them, there’s no denying inflation is lower now than when Trump took office.

Research firm Telsey Advisory Group, which has been tracking the prices of 80 select consumer items across a wide variety of retail categories, reported this week that just 19 products it has tracked have gained in price since mid-April — and 16 items’ prices fell. Similarly, the New York Times’ Wirecutter, which recommends consumer products, tracked the prices for 40 of its top picks over the course of two months and found this week that the vast majority didn’t change price at all: 10 gained in price and only half of those gained more than 7%.

Even autos, many of which are subject to a 25% tariff, plus a tariff of up to 25% on some imported auto parts, haven’t gained in price — they’ve fallen. New car prices fell 0.2% in May, according to car-buying research site Edmunds, and they rose only 2.5% compared to the pre-tariff period in March. Both new and used car prices fell in May, according to the BLS’ Consumer Price Index.

In economics you can’t make decisions based on the present - you have to make decisions based on the most likely future event - else what you do is too late ! - tariffs was announced in April - your economy has basically not experienced the effects of it yet (apart from him rolling a lot of it back - the companies also stockpiled in advance and the supply chain is something like 6-8 weeks behind!)

Your most likely future is stagnation or stagflation ! Which is due to dollar value falling, unemployment growing and inflation not falling fast enough - it is still outweighing the wage gains - so it still makes you poorer for each passing month - your economy is on life control and you should be happy you have that Jerome guy at least having some idea of what he is doing - cause Trump don’t

The best example is that DOGE thing where many say now that there is proof it will actually have ended up costing you guys money in the long run what they did - you can’t go for short term gains always acting based on the present - that is actually never the right way to do it

Don't mention the frogs - we don't want to scare the toddler - we want him to sleep

Trump inherited a strong economy with low inflation and unemployment from Biden.  US economy is like a big ship that slowly changes direction.   Effect of Trump bad policies on US economy could take months to be fully implemented.  Most economists disagree with Trump dumb trade war.  If something doesn't work in theory, it is unlikely to work in practice.

Before July 9 deadline, Trump trade war has failed on its own terms. No 90 deals in 90 days. Instead other countries seek more business elsewhere. Especially China and Europe. They might feel the best option is to wait out Trump term. Then they can negotiate with a more stable future administration.

Data from Commerce department shows U.S. growing trade deficit because of declining exports. Also foreign investment into the U.S. has slowed this year because of higher costs and uncertainty.

When you say "low inflation", do you mean YoY rates or since Biden took office? Seems like you're trying to hide the fact that Biden brought on record inflation that stayed elevated and never returned to when he entered office. So he actually increased inflation at record rates and he didn't technically have low inflation relative to his 4 year term. Did your bot program gloss over the super elevated inflation Biden couldn't bring back down? Inflation spiked, then stayed elevated. It was never "low". Lets get it straight because your attempt at left leaning manipulation propaganda doesn't go unnoticed.

Yes.  This is recorded history now, just as the OPPOSITE is true from what Biden was forced to inherit from the failed 2017 - 2021 trump regime.

Trump also inherited a good economy from Obama......then phucked it all up...

    @BigGame90

Well when you have to throw out insults to make a point I guess I will make a counter point using your same logic but no insults..

Given this jaded logic you cannot credit Trump with any easing of inflation until his inflation numbers are under that to which he left office, just using this absurd partisan approach you made here.

So if you want to blame Biden for inflation (hilarious) and criticize a member for his generalization then please do the same with regards to your political party and any generalizations or praise observations. Trump has a LONG LONG ways to go to claim victory on inflation especially given your analysis.

Is it an insult if it's true?

I never credited Trump with lowering inflation, did I? Did I blame Biden for inflation? Not in this post. I just stated the numbers under his term. I also just stated how the bot is obfuscating the truth, like it does in every post it makes. Please go back and try to find 1 post that is in favor of Trump. You won't find any in the nearly 8k posts. Of those posts, they 100% read like a bot with an agenda. Just calling a spade a spade, why hate on me for it? Is the bot part of your army?  Seems like it since you're always quick to take it's side. an_light

So if you want to blame Biden for inflation (hilarious) and criticize a member for his generalization then please do the same with regards to your political party and any generalizations or praise observations. Trump has a LONG LONG ways to go to claim victory on inflation especially given your analysis.

If you call another member a bot again I will box you for a very long time. This happened before and you are doing it again, consider this a very reasonable holiday gesture that I dont just box or ban for this nonsense.

Hate is your term I am using your logic to make sure you follow it for your partisan takes in the same way he does for his. IF you want to credit Trump for something or put down the other side for something then dont be obtuse and flip flop on your terms and measures of analysis.

My side is keeping the rules and not making member to member attacks and insults. You FAIL in this respect so if you see me responding it is due to you and some of your cohorts abuses of the rules and petty member to member insults and attacks.

Negative effect of trump tariffs still to come, esp. with NEW tariffs announced today...
