Your listenin to some serious good stuff man. Nanci & Guy are true Tex treasures & I hear the West Tx boys (Butch Hancock, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Joe Ely - the Flatlanders) live down in Terlingua now.
 
Got into Sir Doug (San Antone boy - gone now/ RIP) when he formed his 1st group, the Sir Douglas Quintet & went on to head up the Texas Tornados - good shit. Alot of those guys (along with Steve Fromholtz) would play the college circuit in little towns all around TX. Didn't care about gettin well known nationally - just like the energy of clubs, etc.
 
Nanci Griffith used to play clubs in Austin as a teen (from Seguin) & has gone on to a tremendous career with major followings here, the UK & in Ireland. Always flew under the radar cuz her stuff never fit a mainstream category, but a great talent & spirit. Alot of thes peeps live in the Nashville area now (Guy, Nanci, Steve Earle, Robert Earl Keen Jr, etc), but all have TX roots.
 
My wireless is actin up right now or I'd play the one's you listed - it's all great, timeless kinda stuff. Enjoy bud - hope I turned you on to a couple you hadn't heard before
