Like you are involved in torture anyway?  Let the pros handle it.  And believe me, the pros wouldn't even think of Toys R Us waterboarding as a torture mechanism.

if you had a near drowning experience, you would know how it feels. I remember when I was a kid, I had a near drowning experience (scariest moment of my life, especially the fact when you are in desperate need for oxygen) Luckily, the lifeguards were there to do CPR.

First thing we are going to do is do a little waterboarding.
 
So far, nobody has died from it but don't let that scare you.  There are exceptions to every rule and feeling this one.

No play on the gm, but saw where Cleve survived by 1 - lookin like 6 or 7 there. Thinkin about doin JJ's Cancun thing once before he gets too old & decrepit. He's a true gypsy songman & as a lifetime fan, almost feel like I should before one of us kicks off - lol.
 
Don't know if you remember Guy Clark (from Monahans, but hung around Houston alot with JJW & Townes Van Zandt) but caught him a couple mos ago & he's still soundin great & touring alot despite a broken leg awhile back. All good stuff

He opened a bar in Austin recently called Maria Maria and plays there once a month.

Did hire Jerry Jeff for a private party once though.  ALL the girls were in tears when he sang the ballads.

When Reagan ran in '80, it was the 1st time I remember folks talking about voting with their pocketbook. Went with Carter but knew he didn't have a prayer - 
 
Haven't been in Austin since '06 & then only for a couple days & a wedding. Busy, congested city these days, but the outskirts (toward the lake) & inner areas are still nice. Cool that Carlos opened a bar there - seems fitting in a backhanded kinda way. Santana was my 1st rock concert in '69 at the Sam Houston Coliseum - think Elvin Bishop opened up, but hazy now.
 
In AZ but thinkin about moving back to TX - either Corpus or the hill country but not sure. Used to see Jerry Jeff all around Austin & Hou & think he still lives in Austin but not sure. Know that Gram Parson's daughter moved there - talk about the young ladies likin ballads, Gram was right up there in the day along with Fogelberg later -

Yes, Austin has kinda turned into Los Angles a bit but it's still cool.  The Hill Country is still semi-sacred.  Fredericksburg has turned into Santa Barbara a bit but the surrounding areas are still laid back ...... No clue on Corpus, have not been there since '85 Spring Break.

esplanade - well, regardless of how folks use their cards, the cc cos still take big time advantage in alot of ways. Nothin's perfect & you can't have everything. Sad to see how far right so much of TX has gone. Get a grip - thing's will get better in time. Many folks will just have to learn to live on less & be more responsible - either by choice, neccessity or both.
