This post is a classic example of posters (one and three) who would criticize the President no matter what he did.

The US has always been a trendsetter in that regard. We have sent black representatives/delegates/athletes to countries that advocate racism; we have sent women representatives/delegates/athletes to countries that advocate sexism.

I'm glad Obama is continuing what other Republican and Democratic Presidents have done in the past and not let another country dictate our actions and beliefs in this area.  

This thread isn't about any of those issues nor human rights. Is is about sending openly g-a-y athletes to a country that does not support g-a-y rights.

Knowing your posting history, I understand your opposition.

I wish that we could live in a world where the word G-A-Y wasn't censored like a curse word on internet web forums.
