Odds of a nuclear war with North Korea

Question

With hostilities ramping up and close to reaching the point of no return with North Korea what would be the odds of a war on the Korean Peninsula? I think even with two bellicose idiot leaders I think the Deep State will find a way to reign in Trump if the do not truly want a war and would set the line at - 500 for no war. The adults in the room in Kelly, Mattis and Rex will find a way to reign him in. As a second note if there is a war which country would be considered the favorite to strike first?

Even if NK launched nuclear bombs first, I&#x27;d imagine that US nuclear-armed subs are close enough to NK to actually strike first.

U.S can take them down with 1st strike  B2B conventional bombs. If NK is still able to launch,the subs will turn the country into glass with one puny hydrogen bomb.

US military has a long history of intervention in other countries for economic or ideological reasons. Demonization of foreign enemies distract public from problems at home. In times of war, Americans blindly rally behind Presidents regardless of rationale. Often interventions are counterproductive and don't solve roots of conflict.
