Yes, & it's real life for the guy/gal who loses their job/health benefits and therefore can't afford COBRA (if their company provided health ins) as well after losing their income with maybe a family/spouse to feed & care for as well along with possibly having health issues that would be considered as pre-existing. A very common situation nowadays -
Or the guy/gal who just doesn't make enough to afford the premiums available for a good plan. Why should folks be at the mercy of whatever insurance cos want to set & raise as their premiums/deductibles?

Well Cashin, if they cant afford insurance then they need to get out there and work more jobs. Every person born in our country has the same equal chance to getting a good job and paying for their own healthcare. Maybe they need to find a job that does supply heathcare or like i said work more jobs. Healthcare is not a right and its just not right that other people have got to pay for other peoples healthcare, especially when they are already paying for their own. Are the people who get free healthcare going to provide some type of service work back to the govt, so the tax payers get something out of it? If they do some type of volunteer work in return for the free medical insurance, then i can live with that. But to just make other people pay for other peoples insurance is just not right. We both know the majority of the people who will get the free heathcare, most have never even bothered to get a job and they just sit around waiting for the next govt handout from the politicians. Like welfare, people should have to do something to get those free checks, even if its just cleaning up the streets.
But hey this bill is going to go thru and the free loaders will make out on it, while the hard working tax payer will get hit with even higher taxes to pay for this crappy bill. You just watch the screw job were gonna get. I hope am wrong, but am a realist and can see the big picture.
