Yeah. You totally accepted the Biden transition and approached his presidency with an open mind too.

Shocking that you would already criticize him so much less than a week into his term. an_wink

*PROOF* that alcoholic63 is LYING again!

    USA TODAY FACT CHECK:

    The false claim:
"Kamala Harris said that RIOTS will not and should not stop"

This stems from a clip of Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Kamala Harris
on an episode of "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" June 17 that has resurfaced online.
The user who posted it on YouTube entitled it:
"Kamala Harris wants the riots to continue and not let up, not now not even after the election."

    The FACTS:
Video link proving gambleholic63 is LYING: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTg1ynIPGls
The exchange between Harris and Colbert referred to protests, NOT RIOTS!
Neither "riot" nor "violence" is even mentioned in the 30-second exchange!

COLBERT: "I know there are protests still happening in major cities across the US"

HARRIS: "That's right, they're not gonna stop, and this is a movement,
I'm telling you. They're not gonna stop, and everyone beware, because
they're not gonna stop. They're not gonna stop before Election Day and
they're not gonna stop after Election Day. Everyone should take note of that,
on both levels, that they're not going to let up — and they SHOULD NOT.
And *WE* should not," she concluded. (refering to peaceful protests)

There. She was not referring to RIOTS!
Nor was she referring to "violence" as alcoholic63 FALSELY insists.
You can't read into something what YOU WANT TO BELIEVE.
    She NEVER said it.

On the contrary, Harris has specifically and repeatedly CONDEMNED violence.
In her rebuttal to Trump's acceptance speech at the RNC in August,
Harris reiterated the importance of NONviolence:

"We must always defend peaceful protest and peaceful protesters," she said.
"We should not confuse them with those looting and committing acts of violence,
including the shooter who was arrested for murder. Make no mistake, we will not
let these vigilantes and extremists derail the path to justice," she added.

Joe Biden has likewise condemned the violence.

Trump otoh, is not only known for repeatedly *REFUSING* to condemn violence,
but he was actually inciting it!

    The FACTS:

The lawyer for an Arizona man who took part in the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol while sporting face paint, no shirt and a furry hat with horns is offering to have his client testify at former President Donald Trump’s upcoming impeachment trial.

Lawyer Albert Watkins said he hasn’t spoken to any member in the Senate since announcing his offer to have Jacob Chansley testify at Trump’s trial, which is scheduled to begin the week of Feb. 8. Watkins said it’s important for senators to hear the voice of someone who was incited by Trump.

Impeachment works but not in the way the founders intended. The first impeachment helps secure the white house for Biden and senate for democrats because of the political damage to Trump.  Historically, presidents are never convicted but there are still consequences.  For example, Andrew Johnson fails to win a second term after senate acquittal.  Nixon resigns.  Clinton gains in popularity while republican house leader falls.  Second impeachment may ruin Trump's political goals in the future.

Andrew Johnson failed to deliver Lincoln's reconstruction act.

Nixon resigned Nelson Rockefeller went missing...

Trump is still raising revenue to campaign with is not harmed by this it is strengthening his base.

Lindsey Graham  summed this up yesterday on face the nation.

Trump is the most popular individual in the Republican party.  That isn't going to change now. It a sad day for Republicans but what choice do they have. Elections are popularity contests. Period end of sentence.

Their was a small crack at one moment Jan 7th when leadership in Republican party was ready to punish Trump but Pelosi and her goon squad destroyed that opportunity.

Now we flail like a flounder at the obvious do nothing congress in their latest bid of continuing to do absolutely nothing to help Americans.

Republicans went back to an obstructionist stance and this won't change. Biden's lofty goals will be settled in the first 100 days by a pc of legislation

And what both parties in Washington will go back to what they know the blame game. While nothing gets done.

Somehow they the democrats are looking to pick seats in the 2022 election but with nothing to show those purple areas will shift back to republicans and when house turns red McCarthy seizes the gabel expect more of rhe same nothimg being done.

2024 election Biden can win but Harris can not.

This simple as the Republican narrative links Harris Pelosi and Aoc as left the nation. The serious problem exists of a candidate even more divide than Trump emerges.

What took 4 years of planning and hard work Pelosi manage to destroy in a matter of weeks for nothing more than her wounded pride....

Oddly, senate is also on trial in public opinion.  Another reason to vote against corrupt republican senators when they ignore overwhelming evidences for conviction and refuse to hold Trump accountable again.  After leaving office, Trump approval rating is now the lowest of his presidency according to fivethirtyeight review of all polls.  Biden, Harris and other democrats have higher approval ratings.  Quinnipiac poll reveals majority of Americans support banning Trump from running for presidency in the future.

Do you feel any Democrat is going to vote for a Republican?

Do you any Republican is going to support a Democrat.

Elections are decided out side of these parties.

4 percent of America is independent. You don't have to convince democrats to check the box with a d. You need to move the independents to that side.

And one thing I understand about independents they are results orientated. Not rhetoric not excuse not figure pointing not the blame game. And most see through the parties and deception what did they do yo help me.

That's it third person no extra nothing less how does this action help me. Not the cause of whatever does not matter. How does this help me... say it slowly ....

REAL life dictates that you must take care of yourself whoever else it helps or hurts is not our business.

All is not a term or nothing. These are vilgarities but to find a man such as Dr.  King or Ghandi or mother Teresa is rare 1 in 10 billion. To what result mocked ridiculed beaten.

More than not how does this action help.

So people on food stamps living in abject poverty move to Democratic aisle why would they want to elevate those people they could lose their support.

Same in Republican side. A small business facing 25% coat in regulation fees and fines move to Republican side we need less regulation these won't change from what helps them.

Myself an idealistic being moving to a better for all.

Will be wasted by the powers if I wasn't resilient enough that reality I don't need another human to survive. I do need animals to eat and a forest to live.

But that here is a ruin. Example in Ashland game station 30 years ago 1000s of deer were tagged.

Then irving began clear cutting and destroying the habitat 2 years ago 6 deer were tagged. An uncle lige long republican explained this as he could. If i destroyed your home took everything you had in the root cellar remived any chance to survive you either move or die....

Gop already decided and has checked out from the impeachment hearings.

But none of that seemed to matter to GOP senators. Republicans spent breaks in between the presentations telling reporters that they were all ready to vote.

“I don’t think there’s anything that’s been said by either side that has changed any votes,” Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) told HuffPost at one point Wednesday afternoon. “There’s nothing that I have heard during this process that I hadn’t already heard.”

When HuffPost pressed Inhofe if there was anything that could change his mind, he said no.

“Not from anything that I have seen so far, and I can’t imagine what else is out there,” Inhofe said.

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), who led the effort to contest the 2020 election in Congress, said he believed that holding a trial for a former president is unconstitutional .

Gigantic waste of time on the other front democrats are now splintered into two camps as senator Angus king and Joe manchin draft legislation as to refine the terms of need Sanders who barely accepted 75 150k threshold states he will not support the need to diminish who is worthy of the checks king and manchin agreed that the thresholds are two high ...

So currently the package is dead in the water.

So it looks like no stimulus package will pass before the unemployment claims are addressed.  And I am sure a clean bill for that in some emergency stop gap brinksmanship.  Yes the do nothing congress is making do nothing an art form.
