 Problem is the USA is NOT a Democracy.  
So, not a failing one for sure.

According to google search, fascism(right) and socialism(left) are at opposite ends of political spectrum.  Fascism is an authoritarian, hierarchical, imperialist and anti-communist system where people serve government.  Socialism advocates for social equality and government ownership in system where government serve people.

Nonetheless, as debated as it still is for some, the key quotes still apply all these many years later:

Correct.   And in this particular case it directly implies the racist/convicted felon and all his accomplices (ie, the current "government" or "fascist regime" as can easily be attributed)

once again , the Biden regime is gone , which had weaponized intelligence to lock up political enemies , the Trump administration is not doing that , otherwise , like in other leftwing regime countries like the UK and Germany , you would be in jail

Vindictive Trump has gone further in weaponizing government against political enemies than any other administration.   Attorney general Bondi acts like his personal lawyer.  In contrast, Biden respected independence of justice department and rule of law.  He never disobeyed the courts.  No proof he played any role in indictments of Trump and associates.  Survey of historians rank Trump as the worst president in pursuit of equal justice for all.

Saying US is a republic and not a democracy is like saying humans are primates and not mammals.  But US is both democracy and republic.  Republicans try to claim US should not have as much democracy as it has. Best countries for people to live in are mostly democracies.

The Guardian reports that 100 ex-prosecutors of justice department warn that Trump administration weaponizes government to bully, prosecute, punish or silence political enemies based on dubious evidences.  This causes damage even if no one is jailed.  Unwarranted prosecution is the worst type of corruption to the rule of law.

Myth is that there are true Democracies.  They are all offshoots of what are seen as ideal.

Nearly all are some form of oligarchy or republics.

Even in Switzerland for example, where they have the direct vote at the local level — they still need what is known as a double majority on federal issues.

Another example is Lichtenstein.  Where they still have to meet a minimum number of voters to get something passed, even if the voters that do vote overwhelmingly approve.

According to Google search, the reasons there are no true Democracies are logistical, Constitutional constraints, economic and social reasons, power structures and this sort of thing.

So, most are really some form of Republics.

So, it can be argued the better places to live are actually Republics.  So, in theory and praxis, the best Republic would be a better place to live than a true Democracy.

Liberial woman with their cell phone cameras and whistles ready will be driving around for nothing the rest of the winter. The aggressive campaign has paid off big time. Not from mass deportations rather the border itself. Amazing we were told only an act of Congress could control immigration.

First big IRS refunds will hit Americans and then around July Trump will try to deliver tariff monies to most Americans only to be required to go through Congress. Dems will of course bulk at the thought of Trump winning again. It will go through the House and Senate and when it fails Trump will say vote repub in November and checks will be out for Christmas!!

Pew research found new enforcement policies of Trump and Biden have little effect on immigration based on 2 reasons.  First, spike in border crossings started in 2019 before Biden became president and most of decline occurred in 2019 before he left office.  Secondly, Biden border policy was more restrictive than in Trump first term.  History shows immigration fluctuates regardless of who is president.  Migration to the US has alot more to do with economy, war or disaster.
