All media outlets?
ACLU?
Certain "Organizations"/"Reverends"/"Representatives"?
Anybody?
Hello?

How many of you are seeing this for the first time here in this post?

I'd really like to know how this video is not only NOT running 24/7 on every news outlet, but these 2 "Officers Of The Law" were both acquitted of any wrongdoing!!!!

WTF?!?!?

And no one cares....
Trump this, Trump that, business as usual over on CNN & MSNBC

(BTW, I already know the reason why this isn't "news", but sometimes sarcasm doesn't translate through the printed word)

Probably a wrongful death lawsuit win, and the wife will get she wants, money. Meanwhile she is rid of a husband that was drinking rum shots all day and was trying to impress his latest girlfriend by aiming an unknown (at that time) weapon from the fifth floor of a hotel. Scary scenario for any cop, and that translates into a quick trigger finger when the suspect repeatedly makes moves he had been told (repeatedly) not to make. Daniel Shaver loses, Brailsford probably has a career ruined, the wife makes out OK. Not much of a bleeding heart story if you ask me, especially for the wife.

Would you feel differently if that was your son?  Probably not, right?  Here is an innocent man, who committed no crimes, who was not a threat to anyone, who was co-operating with the officers and to the best of his abilities, trying to comply with the confusing orders shouted at him, ends up dead because the police were scared he might pull a gun out of his  gym shorts.  If the police can justify this shooting, then they can justify any shooting.

Police shooting of innocent people seems to happen more often in the US than anywhere else in the world.  Unlike other countries, US has the most well armed population and most mass shootings in the world.  To survive in this risky environment, police tends to shoot first and ask questions later when in doubt.  Tough job making life and death decisions in seconds.  Also courts naturally side with police to protect them.

Well, first of all. I can't imagine my married son being with a woman in a 5th floor hotel room after a day of rum shooters in whatever bar he picked her up in. I don't tink he owns an air rifle but again, I can't imagine him aiing it out of a hotel room after a day of rum shooters to impress the person-drunk he picked up. Nope, just can't make that comparison.

Yes, cops are getting very quick triggered. It may be a result of every idiot in this country being able to possess any weapon he wants. We have had cops shot when they stopped someone to write a traffic ticket. I would wager you have never dealt with a drunk, armed idiot have you? I didn't call the shooting rightful; in fact, I said the widow would probably win her suit, but the cop is still ALIVE, and that was the issue he settled. Walk a mile in his shoes before you judge.

Hmmmmm.....

Would like to hear your opinion on the officers involved in these cases:

Freddie Gray
Eric Garner
Philandro Castile
Michael Brown
Alton Sterling
(Citizen) Trayvon Martin

You know, all these names we were force-fed to know about (but shouldn't have been) and cities have burned over (and shouldn't have).....

How is this one any different?

Anyone taking a knee during the National Anthem over this poor victim like Colin Kaepernick?

NO?!?!?!

WHY NOT????

Wasn't this an American citizen unjustly killed by the police???? Then the cops found "innocent" - -  but cities aren't on fire and it's not all over the "News" 24/7.....

and yes, "News" is in quotation marks.....

So, what's the difference??

I needed it pointed out,
WHAT'S
THE
FU##ING
DIFFERENCE?

Thank you.....

Can you imagine your son being on the 4th floor of the same hotel with his wife, having a couple of drinks? Maybe?  Can you imagine the caller making a mistake and saying there was a gun on the 4th floor?  Your son gets shot and you say "well, at least the cops went home safe".  By your reasoning, every traffic stop the driver should be greeted with a swat team.  One wrong move or you sneeze you get shot.  If you are going to speculate on why cops have a quick trigger, then I can speculate that Brailsford wanted to shoot someone.  Why else would he have the words "YOUR F-CKED" etched on his gun?  We should all support the police, and that means hold the bad ones accountable.  Support the police, not the Police State.

The difference is that the executions of black men by white cops have been going on for decades and seem "systemic" in the USA.

You're welcome.

Thanks for playing, "Belongs To The A$$"
https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ganda

but, as usual, you're wrong.....

Statistically, more whites/caucasians are killed by police annually than any other nationality in the U.S. - - are you REALLY going to make me go get the stats?

Also, @S.T.S., thought you were better than this. How am I "race-baiting" when I'm the only one for equal rights for ALL?!?!?!

Unlike Scalabrine who was for "equal rights" - unless it was for the "White Male Devil", or the Indian/Asian who worked hard to make a better life for their children.....

Once again, original topic, why isn't/wasn't this all over the MSM? Where's the "outrage"? Did you watch the video? For God's sake! This guy was slaughtered in cold blood legs crossed, hands up, pleading for his life!!!

WHY WASN'T THIS TOP PRIORITY ON EVERY NEWS CHANNEL?!?!?!?!

Thank you.....

Please get the stats. You can try and spin this however you want, black people are a minority in the US, proportionally, they are way overrepresented in the prison population and overrepresented as victims in the unjust use of force by the authorities.

You had a civil war over race and slavery, you had a system amounting to apartheid in the southern states as recent as 50 years ago, and your police force, much like yourself, Gimme, has severe issues of rampant racism. And I agree with above posters, you are just as bad as Scal for race bating.

You had a civil war over race and slavery, you had a system amounting to apartheid in the southern states as recent as 50 years ago, and your police force, much like yourself, Gimme, has severe issues of rampant racism. And I agree with above posters, you are just as bad as Scal for race bating.

You know what? I got "the stats" for you.

According to the F.B.I.’s Supplementary Homicide Report, 31.8 percent of people shot by the police were African-American, a proportion more than two and a half times the 13.2 percent of African-Americans in the general population.

Again, you're welcome.

Again, you're welcome.

Looking for a "thanks" for posting incredibly misleading stats is pathetic.

Any simpleton would quickly note that while the numbers you posted are accurate, they paint a blatantly false picture.

It pains me to have to provide a link for proof of this, because I was hopeful that common sense might prevail, but alas, there is you!

https://nypost.com/2018/01/10/dashcam-shows-teen-firing-at-cops-before-being-fatally-shot/

There have been cops who have committed murder, and we all would like to think that should never happen, but it does.

Then you watch a video like the one I just provided, and it's easier to understand why some police officers might be a little quick on the trigger.

Those cops could not have been nicer.
That kid was not being subjected to anything unusual.
He certainly was not in fear for his life.
He clearly expressed why he was attempting to kill 3 police officers, because he "didn't want to go to jail"

And of course social media warriors start inaccurately posting that the police just murdered another defenseless, unarmed black man. This leads to threats against that police force.

Feel it in the air, tension everywhere ... and the beat goes on.

Oh look who it is, well I never would have thought the hugh would need to contribute, I don't paint any picture and unlike you two race baiting klan boys, I stick to the facts as much as they are available.

Gimme said "statistically more caucasians are killed by police", I proved him wrong, proportionally way more blacks are killed, end of story here.

FBI numbers show that police kill black people at disproportionate rates.

There is no federal agency keeping track of the number of people killed by police in the United States.

As it stands, a comprehensive government database tracking how many times American police officers have used deadly force does not exist. Local law enforcement agencies may voluntarily submit the number of people killed each year in the line of duty to the FBI, but it's not mandatory, and it's only done about half the time, according to estimates.

For anyone actually interested in the matter. The klan boys are of course just here to do their thing. Denying that US police forces have decades of systemic racism among their officers is just intellectually dishonest, but well, nothing new there either.

I'm done here, I hate the political forum for just this reason.

You proved Gimme wrong???
What he wrote is a fact.

What you said is also a fact.

Neither of those facts are complete data to prove if there is racism involved with the numbers provided.

Simply put, without accompanying statistics which are relevant and necessary to prove/disprove any points trying to be made, the numbers provided are totally useless.

I provided a link which provided data to help explain, to some extent, the inordinate percentage of blacks being killed by cops.

Unlike yourself, I am not promoting a false narrative.
I am simply applying common sense.

And I have never once read in here anyone claim that racism isn't an issue within a police force, because it is. Just as it is within our society.

Are there cops who dislike blacks? Absolutely.
Are there blacks who dislike cops? Absolutely.

People of different cultures/races/religions are prone to not liking one another.

Typical of your ilk, I provide relevant numbers and common sense to refute your claims, and you respond by referring to me as a "klan boy"

That's an intelligent argument

I just reread my post, and saw how my wording could have been  misconstrued, I apologize.
How I should have worded it is - statistically more Whites/Caucasians are killed by the police annually in the U.S. - than all the other races combined:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/national/police-shootings-2017/

Here's the 2017 breakdown:
987 people killed by the police
457 = White
223 = Black
179 = Hispanic
44 = "Other"
84 = "Unkown"

If you back out the "Unknown", and add up all the other races, you get 446. Compared to 457 White. Same holds true for 2016, 2015.....

But anyways, we're veering off the OP. Once again, to sum up, innocent man shot in cold blood by the police, it's on video, cops are acquitted, no outrage by the MSM.....

I say good luck to all of us White/Caucasian gun owners - hopefully your neighbor doesn't happen to look through your window and see you holding it and call the police, or this could happen to you. And you know what? Apparently,

NO ONE WOULD CARE, AND THE COPS WOULD GO FREE!!!!

The Cops go free anyway. No one is locking up cops for shooting black people. And if you're still defending the guy with the bb gun or whatever it was just stop. I ask again, who are you even doing this for? There's no Scal here. No one is arguing that the media covers police shooting black people more. I can promise you they aren't doing it because they care about black people.
You're, at very least, a bigger race baiter than he was if not just a flat out racist. And you post this sh*t because you get off on it. You have issues.
